We can absolutely acknowledge that so-called Canada has been a safe-haven for many refugees, immigrants and newcomers fleeing war, violence and danger, while also acknowledging that this has not been a safe place for Indigenous peoples whose lands are here.

Hey allies, you don’t have to make it weird and talk about what tomorrow is not. In fact, you don’t have to say … *whispers* anything tomorrow.
You can just:
✅ enjoy the day
✅ rest
✅ read the TRC
✅ donate to a local Indigenous org

So let me get this straight: On June 8th, The City of Toronto committed to a human rights approach to housing for those experiencing homelessness...but today, the City of Toronto sent hundreds of police officers to Trinity Bellwoods to violently evict people from encampments?

Toronto spends 3.1 million dollars on policing a DAY. 1/3 of that figure alone could house/ pay the rent of over 80+ houseless people for over a year.
But Toronto would rather criminalize people for being houseless in a park.
One day of policing $ could house everyone there.
