The way I'm labeled race traitor Satan by Koreans but I lowkey don't give a shit. Korean society has already tortured me for 2 decades and I've finally satisfied my years long wish of exposing it to the world.

Arguing with Korean nationalists is like talking to a wall. They deny or downplay our societal problems and it's just them being offended that foreigners dare criticize Korea. They have a mindset that criticism of Korea is criticism against them and will take it very personally
op getting death threats from their fellow koreans for this tweet just proved op 😬
When I was in school a friend told me his mother said she would choke him with a golf club if he didn't get high grades on his exam. We were middle schoolers. In high school a teacher talked about how students used to self harm to stay awake during class like it was inspirational
Korean movies I recommend:
Die Bad (죽거나 혹은 나쁘거나), 2000
Resurrection of the Little Match Girl
Green Fish (초록물고기), 1997
The King of Pigs (돼지의 왕), 2011

I could go into the batshit fucked up experiences I had in Korea. The bullying, brutal education pressure, hierarchy culture, sexual assault, extreme bigotry and overall toxicity and lack of empathy. This is why I refuse to shut up about our issues because of petty nationalism.
I'm Korean in some parts of Seoul you can walk and every 5 minutes you will see a plastic surgery ad or clinic. Pale skin, big eyes, thin nose, pointy chin is what they promote. Can confirm this is real. Koreans are just getting mad at this cause they're extremely nationalistic.

I see art discourse directed at scrutinizing what artists do and what they don't and how much they charge and blah blah and I can only think of: do art the way you want, obey no rules, be not a coward, charge what your time is worth, bow to no one, be graceful and better

What being an artist online is like… damned if you’re a professional, damned if you’re an amateur

People on the internet are addicted to bullying other innocent people. This time, they've choosen to bully digital artists. They realised they sound stupid arguing against artists charging normal industry prices, so they resorted to accusing artists of using ai. They love bullying
