Arguing with Korean nationalists is like talking to a wall. They deny or downplay our societal problems and it's just them being offended that foreigners dare criticize Korea. They have a mindset that criticism of Korea is criticism against them and will take it very personally

op getting death threats from their fellow koreans for this tweet just proved op 😬
I'm Korean in some parts of Seoul you can walk and every 5 minutes you will see a plastic surgery ad or clinic. Pale skin, big eyes, thin nose, pointy chin is what they promote. Can confirm this is real. Koreans are just getting mad at this cause they're extremely nationalistic.

I see art discourse directed at scrutinizing what artists do and what they don't and how much they charge and blah blah and I can only think of: do art the way you want, obey no rules, be not a coward, charge what your time is worth, bow to no one, be graceful and better

What being an artist online is like… damned if you’re a professional, damned if you’re an amateur
Seeing younger artists, artists my age, promoting themselves on the back of an unfair wave of hate directed at another artist already integrated into the industry and just thinking "are you guys stupid??"

People on the internet are addicted to bullying other innocent people. This time, they've choosen to bully digital artists. They realised they sound stupid arguing against artists charging normal industry prices, so they resorted to accusing artists of using ai. They love bullying

It's Koreans. Some of the most racist, misogynistic, pieces of shit. The big 3 Asians (China, Japan, Korea) are fairly racist to Southeast Asians but Koreans have got to be the worst of the bunch. Might be because I seen it and grew up in it but I don't fuck with my own people.

#kimgoeun #kdrama

One of the worst cultural phenomenons as of recent has been adults deciding to completely shut themselves off from things made for adults and insisting the stuff they’ve liked since they were 7 are actually even BETTER and MORE MATURE than the things they’re intimidated by
its so funny how the star wars prequels are obviously cinematic masterpieces, but a bunch of chungus gen X nerds who never amounted to anything convinced us they were bad because they didnt make them feel like empire strikes back did when they were 10

it’s beyondddd insane that she has to clarify why a guy who bought paywalled deepfake videos of her would make her feel uncomfortable. women will never be free.
hi everyone, i want to clarify some things about what i said on stream yesterday. 1) when he was first caught looking at paywalled, deepfake content of female streamers, it seems people forgot that the specific page shown on his stream was of me. i didn't say much at the time because i was so uncomfortable, publicly humiliated, and i didn't think it needed explaining because it was so obviously wrong. 2) i appreciate that he spent thousands of dollars helping remove ai/df content (3000$ of which was offered to me specifically), but i've had to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars towards that same effort. regardless, no amount of money undoes what happened. 3) i'm not trying to cancel anyone or be the arbiter of who can do what. i'm simply sharing my feelings about something that publicly happened to me, and the ways in which it's affecting me today. as he's become more involved in events and with people close to me, i've grown particularly uncomfortable. as far as i know, no one has really checked in with the women affected about how it makes them feel. other people forgiving him is their choice, but it doesn't mean i can't share my perspective on it as well. one thing i've seen happen far too often is the rewriting of history, particularly as it pertains to issues like these, so i prefer to stand my ground so the narrative doesn't get twisted. hope this clarifies things!
