Alfred Hitchcock, a master of cinema, once said: “For me, a film is 99% finished with the screenplay… Sometimes, I dream of an IBM machine in which I’d insert the screenplay at one end, and the film would emerge on the other end complete and in color.” He not only dreamt of what super intelligence is today… But he likely also knew the etymology of the word “cinema”, which literally means “to write movement”. Once you realize that your human-made script is cinema in itself… Any tool you use to bring it to life (including AI) doesn’t make it any less cinematic than any other artist using a different tool to do it.

35 years ago this week! ✨On December 10, 1990, Deee-Lite lit up The Arsenio Hall Show with performances of “Groove Is In The Heart” and “Power of Love.” Pure color, pure energy, pure era-defining pop culture. Do you remember this moment in time?

I am very proud of the work my business partner @DebbiBerlin and I are doing. Check it out:

I am Gen X. I knew the Pizza Hut red cups. I fought for the front seat. I lived for snow days. I collected Garbage Pail Kids. I ate candy cigarettes. I feared the principal's office. I thought turning 16 meant freedom. We weren't perfect kids. But damn, we were good at being kids.
