Another case where the judicial process is a complete disgrace!
Look at official media coverage, and you will assume that 5 accused including Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash and Taimur Jhagra, have been found present at Radio Pakistan according to forensic analysis by the Punjab Forensic Authority.
The reality is very different.
1. Punjab Forensic Authority has only ever commented on the authenticity of a few submitted videos. They have not ascertained location or date of any of these videos.
2. The videos submitted include videos of Taimur Jhagra from Islamabad and Sohail Afridi from Lahore on dates other than the events at Radio Pakistan. This proves why the police was reluctant to submit the evidence. It appears that they themselves have never examined it and therefore have not commented on location or date.
3. The investigation into this case was completed by December 2023 by a caretaker government that had nothing to do with PTI. None of the five accused, Sohail Afridi, Kamran Bangash, Taimur Jhagra, Irfan Saleem and Amir Chamkani, were charged in this investigation. None were charged even after 2 years of the trial occuring before private counsel for Radio Pakistan magically came in possession of some evidence.
4. Interestingly, the lawyer for Radio Pakistan is on record blaming the state for the events like May 9

🚨 🚨 🚨 Nothing exposes the complete cluelessness of this govt than FBR performance.
With inflation at around 11% and GDP growth at just under 4% - tax collection should be growing at 15% with no additional effort.
However, year to date FBR collection has only grown 7% versus last year! That is as miserable as the 220 new filers countrywide availing the new retail scheme.
What happened to the thousands of cars bought for FBR officials? What happened to the use of AI and digital technology?
Basically, everyone in the tax net has been squeezed to the max, with zero real reform. There is no more juice left to squeeze in the lemon, just as there are no more credible ideas from this incompetent lot, just as there is no legitimacy they have whatsoever!

The elephant in the room, with respect to any electoral reforms committee, is that it wasn't the law that enabled election rigging.
The laws were all there. The results were all forged regardless. The entire system in place today keeps committing illegality after illegality to protect that forgery.
So any such "electoral reforms" effort has to look at the 2024 election, and the evidence of forgery. Yes, if they want, look at similar evidence on 2018. Go back to 1951 if that's what makes these noonies happy. But without addressing the elephant in the room, don't waste anyone's time.
Otherwise, it is a simple attempt by PMLN to fool the people of Pakistan further. And that they can't do.
PTI should participate in any effort that is a genuine attempt to address the election. Otherwise they should not legitimise another attempt to simply bulldoze the illegal existence of this form 47 regime.
That is my personal view, but a strong one.

In this segment of Strictly Legal: دستور کی بات, we further discuss the courts' retreat from protecting personal liberty, with reference to the detention of Imran Khan's sisters under the MPO. Instead of testing the legality of the detention, the Lahore High Court has insisted they first make a representation to the government, in effect asking the government to review its own order. By the time it decides, the detention has often run its course. Are writs against MPO detentions being made ineffective on technicalities?

I have obtained Bail Before Arrest (BBA) in the Radio Pakistan case, FIR 221.
I was neither ever in the vicinity of Radio Pakistan on 9th May or 10th May 2023, and neither is the forensic evidence submitted to the Punjab Forensic lab ascertaining time or location, or been examined for this (see tweet below).
The investigation into this case closed in December 2023 during the caretaker govt, and I was never charged, either then, or in the 2.5 years since the trial has been underway.
However, to make one's case through the legal process, however the judicial system may be, is something every law abiding citizen does, in particular when they have nothing to fear.
With respect to the Radio Pakistan case and the news circulating, please note the following:
1. The main case in Peshawar, pertaining to charges on 9th and 10th May 2023, was already thrown out after trial. We were acquitted and the case of the prosecution was torn to shreds. It is worth reading the judgment to understand how weak this case is.
2. With respect to the FIR on Radio Pakistan (FIR 221), I am not nominated in the FIR, nor in any supplementary charges. The case has already gone to trial. To my knowledge, neither is @kamrankbangash, @_IrfanSaleemPTI or @SohailAfridiISF. If after 2.5 years, there is going to be a media trial on random videos, posing as evidence, then it sounds more like a Bollywood movie than any serious attempt at prosecuting a crime.
3. The posts with screenshots are very interesting because they have nothing to do with Radio Pakistan. I believe the Punjab lab is simply commenting on whether it thinks the videos are genuine or not. My first video screenshot is of a video that is not even shot in Peshawar, nor is it on the 10th of May, the day the Radio Pakistan building was burnt. The video is of my condemnation of Imran Khan's arrest on 9th May, while in Islamabad.
Interesting that this campaign is against the CM and other individuals never nominated or investigated in the case.
I reserve the right to take legal action against anyone using this information in a defamatory manner.

- 70 ارب روپے NHP کے بقایاجات
- 50 ارب روپے قبائلی اضلاع کے گرانٹ اور اخراجات میں کمی
یہ سارے پیسے یعنی 460 ارب روپے صرف اس سال خیبر پختونخوا سے وفاق کے گا -
تو کوئی پیسہ شہباز شریف نے دیا بھی تو کسی پر احسان نہیں
