My biggest achievement this year will be finishing an A4 size diary cover to cover by hand
my 16 yo self was kinda going through it
this is something i wrote for an application for the prompt 'describe a time when you spent time in a new environment and something you learned about yourself that you didn't know previously'
i wrote about why i switched my major from physics to psychology
i recently got diagnosed with adhd.
but long before i even knew what adhd was, i first-principled my way into managing it by understanding what it actually means to 'work with your brain' and successfully stopped struggling with my mental health for the first time in 2023
for the first time in 10 years, i saw hope that i could be someone who can do things on command and felt how it's to live on survival mode all the damn time (this came through religiously writing morning pages for 3 months every single day)
i want to share more about how that entire process went and what happened in that summer of 2023 that finally made me come out of the abyss created by my own mind
here's a lil something i wrote in 2024 for the interact fellowship on this:
For everyone saying if this is what we're up against in the job market and if you have to litr create a whole film just to get hired
If you really love what you do & know who you are then doing this entire thing will get you the most excited
You'd be amazed how much hard work gets easy when you love your work. Maybe smtng to think about
Hi, it's Darshita. I am a designer.
And I'm pitching myself in public 'cause I'm done with a year full of anxiety.
Everyone says design is dead and AI killed it. But the real parasite was hiding in plain sight.
So here's my film, DESIGN IS DEAD. She's bold, fearless and very PINK 💖
Hiring? My DMs are open.

Hey Claude can you go through all twitter replies i failed to respond to, all my bookmarks, all the files on my computer and lost connections from my phone and cross them with my current interests and where my mind is at the moment and surface the top most relevant? thanks
So excited to be attending the design happy hour hosted by

Please say hi if you're coming too!

@saurabhsoni_ss, @abnux and I are hosting a Config Happy hour in Bangalore this Friday.
Selfishly we want to get the 100 top AI native designers in India in the same room and learn from them. If that's you sign up here:
luma.com/tbsaa3zq
@rishfishtish will review all the applications manually as the bar is really high.
Shout out to @Razorpay_Design and @SarvamAI for making this event possible and @kamini_300 for designing the visuals.
See y'all there 🫶
You need to be extremely skeptical of any claim that ascribes to AI a fundamental, insurmountable lack of something intangible, like "taste" or "creativity." I draw the line at phenomenal consciousness, which I'm certain AI does not have, but I believe everything else can be abstracted enough for AI to grasp and perform at a top human level. It doesn't please me to admit it, but most discourse defending "human exceptionalism" on any grounds other than phenomenal consciousness doesn't convince me. It always sounds like cope or wishful thinking.

i love how sf people have given a name to their advection fog. we should give a name to delhi smog as well like big smoke or dhuan lipa. bangalore morning light mist can be manju (literally means fog in kannada)
Best way to figure what u should build ur career is in to notice what makes u wanna stop watching reels and get back to work
when all the tech people run out of use cases for personal ai assistants and get bored of optimizing everything, we'll turn to the history, art & philosophy majors to show us what intersectional creativity, phenomenological experiences and entirely new ways of engaging with the world can actually look like with ai
