Europe has developed a pretty interesting definition of โ€œprotecting democracy.โ€ ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด Romania annulled a presidential election after Cฤƒlin Georgescu finished first, then barred him from the rerun. ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Hungaryโ€™s new government rewrote the constitution with retroactive limits that block Viktor Orbรกn from becoming PM again and later approved rules barring long-serving MPs from the next parliamentary election. ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Germanyโ€™s domestic intelligence service classified the AfD as extremist, opening the door to much heavier surveillance of the countryโ€™s biggest opposition party. ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท France upheld Marine Le Penโ€™s conviction, kept restrictions on her political future and ordered her to wear an electronic ankle tag. ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ In Spain, more than a dozen people tied to Pedro Sรกnchezโ€™s political and personal circle have been investigated or prosecuted in separate corruption cases, while Sรกnchez himself has not been charged. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Britain postponed local elections during a sweeping reorganization of local government, triggering a petition accusing the government of voter suppression. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ And now Poland has police surrounding its Constitutional Tribunal while the government and opposition accuse each other of trying to seize control of the court. The real red line in Europe may not be democracy... It may be leaving the club. Writer: Sol

"You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland). You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission." Writer: Jacob Reynolds

Have you been around that crowd? THEN They mock your (straight, white) boys. Boys with the near perfect math SAT, perfect grades and years of application of skills into projects. Mocked. My 3.98 GPA son was mocked by multiple B- girls based on their job search results. Demonic.

It's happening. Poland's ambassadors are resigning in protest, Nawrocki has personally stormed the Constitutional Court, and NO ONE has come out in support of Tusk. The EU is LOSING the attempted coup. Tusk is going to be imprisoned. Keep fighting, Poland! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ

And now we understand the absolutely rabid obsession with destroying Pete Hegseth. Iโ€™ve been in the Army since before 9/11. Served under many secretaries. Only in the past 18 months have I experienced: >politicians warning me not to follow illegal orders >billboards outside military bases telling me to report war crimes >the media attacking anyone who has a positive thing to say about the man, and defending anyone who hates him >stunning volume of leaks from senior officials trying to undermine him, and the lionizing of the leakers by the press >being called a war criminal myself, hundreds of times a day >a sustained media narrative portraying virtually every firing or senior officer removal as a โ€œpurgeโ€ >public efforts by retired officers, advocacy groups, and political figures to mobilize service members and military communities against administration policies >influential โ€œAmericansโ€ publicly cheering for Iran This is just to name a few. Iโ€™ve NEVER experienced anything like this before. And itโ€™s becoming abundantly clear that the concerted effort to divide the military from within was stunted when Hegseth took over. Anyone desiring color revolution needs control of the military. Thatโ€™s color revolution 101. Is it starting to make sense yet? Now you see the obsession over him in particular. Itโ€™s not a coincidence. And it damn sure isnโ€™t because of his culture war. Itโ€™s because by all objective metrics, he runs a military that snatches rogue leaders from their beds, destroys entire militaries, and successfully mobilizes assets to save one downed pilot in the middle of enemy territory by building an Air Force baseโ€ฆ in the middle of enemy territory. Secures the border, dominates the hemisphere. Hunts drug cartels. The list goes on. He is by all meaningful accounts, effective at wielding the machine. And that is why they drool at the thought of removing him. In years past youโ€™d be hard pressed to find a junior Soldier who knew the name of the cabinet secretary above them. Every one of them knows Pete Hegseth. Every one.
Almost like itโ€™s important to hold the authority to deploy the security forces

My father was 21 on one of the first ships in Tokyo harbor after the war ended. He was a Machinist Mate and a Diver, and the ship's mission was to raise the floating docks the Japanese had sunk to prepare for the US occupation ships to land. His captain gave him and another 19-year-old the job of seeing if they could get what looked like an abandoned utility barge with a crane in the harbor operational to help with the work. They got in a skiff, went to the ship, and went down into the engine room to see if they could bring it to life. He went into the room; it was dark and quiet, and when he shone his flashlight, he found 18 Japanese sailors hiding in fear. One pleaded, " Please don't kill us! Not likely, as my dad only had a sidearm with 9 rounds. My dad said, "You are safe; the war is over, things will be better here than ever." Then he asked, "Who wants a job? $10 a week?" One man translated, and they all started bowing. 10 minutes later the boat was under power, and my dad returned to his ship. The Captain said, "That was quick," to which my dad replied, "She's got a good crew; by the way, there are 18 of them, you hired them for $180 a week." The captain said, "You don't have that authority." Dad replied, "But you do." He worked alongside those guys for weeks. As a diver, they raised a sunken boat in the harbor full of food, and he gave that to those 19 men for their families and others around the harbor. He ended up staying in one of those men's spare rooms for several weeks. It was the room of his son who died as a Kamikaze pilot. The war was over, and from that point on, everything was better in Japan.

In just these past two weeks we have seen: 1. Widespread civil unrest and riots in France. 2. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Albania. 3. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Italy. 4. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Spain. 5. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Portugal. 6. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Belgium. 7. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Serbia. 8. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Georgia. 9. Widespread civil unrest and an apparent judicial coup in Poland. 10. Widespread civil unrest and riots in Czechia (including an attempted takeover of the Parliament building). 11. Widespread student protests in Greece. 12. Targeted student protests in Indonesia. 13. Localized violent protests in India. 14. An apparently fraudulent election in Brazil where the presumed presidential election winner was forced to flee the country under threat of arrest by his opponent. 15. The uncovering of a Color Revolution plot in the USA led by embittered former USAID employees and ex-military members. Thatโ€™s a lot to be happening all at once, donโ€™t you think? And the USA is having midterm elections next week. You know, if I was a conspiracy-minded type I might be connecting some dots here. ๐Ÿง

When my kids read "Island of the Blue Dolphin" we camped on Catalina Island over winter break. Camping just out of the small town of Two Harbors gives the same climate and ecology as St. Nicholas. Fishing is good. If you're subsistence living, there's tons of shellfish. Plants - a native cherry! And prickly pear, which I've never learned to enjoy.

In the early 70s, I was a High School kid at a conference in Santa Barbara. Hitchhiking Got picked up by a guy, didn't say a word, wouldn't stop. I was convinced he was taking me somewhere to kill me. Had a pocket knife. Put the corkscrew between my knuckles, blade open and down. "Let me out NOW!" I was fully willing to deal with a car crash and was about to start stabbing. He pulled over, I immediately got out. Guy never said a word. I'm convinced he was " The Golden State Killer". Never put my thumb out again.

Stunning admission by California during yesterdayโ€™s Ninth Circuit hearing. California admitted they do nothing to check the citizenship status of voters and will count the illegal ballots of noncitizens who vote. This is why weโ€™re seeking an emergency order. We cannot allow California to dilute legal votes in the upcoming election. Judge: You agree that if a non-citizen votes and we donโ€™t stop it now, that vote will be counted, correct? California: Thatโ€™s absolutely correct.

Fun Fact: Nobody had a problem with Indians until we exposed their fraud schemes, fake credentials, nepotism in hiring practices, and abuse of the visa lottery system. And, Indians responded by telling Americans that they were smarter and better than you in every way + they will never assimilate. Then, we mocked their low IQโ€™s and terrible culture so they cried โ€œhateโ€. Thatโ€™s the order of events. Never let them re-write the facts.

A must-read. I know how it comes across in "pastor world"... - Super cringe - "Off mission" - "political idolatry" - Disinvited from conferences, privately vetoed from publishing organizations, and coalitions, etc. ... but what modern progressivism has become is legitimately a crockpot-speed civilization-destroying force. This is not the 1996 political left anymore. "Love your neighbor; defeat progressivism."
Iโ€™m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, itโ€™s the dream. Hereโ€™s what it looks like from the inside. France hasnโ€™t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees canโ€™t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because itโ€™s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program youโ€™re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You donโ€™t want to be France.
