NAWAIRUDEEN PRIMARY SCHOOL, ISALE ÌJẸUN, ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NEEDS URGENT GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION!
Nearly 100 years old, this school has deteriorated to the point where teachers had to evacuate pupils from the building over fears of collapse.
Today, its 150 remaining pupils are squeezed into a single hall belonging to the NAWAIRUDEEN Islamic Society, where all six classes share the same space. To allow one class to learn, the others must remain silent, taking turns daily. This is no environment for learning!
The school once had more pupils, but many parents have withdrawn their children because of these deplorable conditions.
We understand that @OGSG_Official informed the school that renovation had been approved, but for almost a year, where is the promised intervention?
Dear Governor @DapoAbiodunCON, the future of these children cannot remain on hold. We call for immediate action to rehabilitate this school, provide a safe learning environment and restore the dignity of public education.
Our children deserve classrooms, not makeshift arrangements.

N249.6bn Basic Healthcare Fund Disbursed Under Tinubu In Three Years, Yet PHCs Remain In Ruins –Report | Sahara Reporters bit.ly/4iQOiX6
BUSTED!!!
Attn, Hon Minister @muhammadpate
BILLIONS RELEASED, YET PRIMARY HEALTHCARE CENTRES REMAIN IN RUINS: WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING?
Nigeria has more than 30,000 Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), for millions, especially in rural communities. Yet thousands remain poorly equipped or unable to function, despite billions of naira released to improve them.
The Federal Government says 4,434 PHCs are being revitalised. Of these, 3,526 have reportedly been renovated, commissioned and handed over, while work continues on another 908. The target is one functional PHC in each of roughly 17,600 wards by 2027.
Yet the figures raise questions about this spending. Only about 53 per cent of monitored facilities meet Level 1 or Level 2 standards. Thousands remain non-functional or partly operational, without essential medicines, medical equipment, power, water or qualified staff. More visits mean little without safe treatment.
The funding is substantial. During the first three years of the current administration, the Federal Government disbursed ₦249.6 billion through the Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF). This represents 77.1 per cent of the ₦323.6 billion disbursed since the fund was established in 2019. A further ₦40.76 billion has also been approved.
With so much public money committed, Nigerians deserve clear answers. What has this funding achieved, and why do communities still lack basic care? Announcements are not proof of results.
Community monitoring by MonITNG exposes the gap between official claims and reality. In Sabon Gida, Fadan Karshi Ward, Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, the only PHC has collapsing ceilings and cracked walls. It lacks essential drugs, functional equipment and staff. Pregnant women, children and elderly residents travel far or seek unsafe treatment.
In Ebenta, Oju LGA, Benue State, the only facility serving more than 3,000 residents remains in deplorable condition, despite its importance for deliveries, childcare and routine treatment. The Umunneato Ishi-Ogwa Health Centre in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State, remains neglected, overgrown and unsafe.
These examples demand more than another government announcement. Authorities must publish facility-level spending records, disclose contractors and payments, verify completed work and identify those responsible. Public money must be tracked and tied to measurable improvements, not headlines.
Nigerians deserve accountability, audits and consequences for mismanagement. Every ward needs a safe PHC with drugs, equipment, power, water and trained staff. Healthcare is a right. Stop announcing billions as an achievement while communities are left without care or basic medical attention. Publish the results and fix our PHCs in every Nigerian community.

Benue Children Learn In Crumbling Classrooms Despite State Receiving N137bn In Nine Months –Report | Sahara Reporters bit.ly/4A3qd5e
Dear Senate President @Senator_Akpabio
The @NGRSenate is not a private club, and democracy is not a political inheritance!
The “No Vacancy” motion moved by Senator Tahir Monguno and endorsed by the 10th Senate in support of your return as Senate President and other Principal offices is an affront to democratic competition and institutional independence.
Leadership must emerge through a transparent and democratic process, not political coronation.
Nigerians deserve a legislature focused on accountability, representation and public service, not the protection of political interests.
Public office is a responsibility, not an entitlement. Democracy must never be reduced to a coronation!

A Christian child and a Muslim child do not emerge from the womb carrying opposing theologies. They grow up learning different answers to the same human questions, often with equal certainty that their own answers are the truth.

Money spent on one of the 2026 Prado SUVs is more than enough to revamp this school.

Na Abuja be this ooo, the Federal Capital Territory.
Engr @DaveUmahi and Gov @HyacinthAlia, Benue people deserve better!
The Adikpo–Ushongo–Ugbema Junction Road in Benue State has remained in a terrible condition for over two years, subjecting residents, commuters, and businesses to avoidable hardship.
This is unacceptable! How long must communities endure economic losses, difficult journeys, and poor access to essential services while this road remains neglected?
We call on the @FMWNIG and @benuestategovt to urgently inspect the road, and ensure immediate, effective rehabilitation.

SHOCKING!!!
Attn, Governor @HyacinthAlia
The condition of Okoto-Ugboju LGEA Primary School in Benue State deserves urgent attention. The children are trying to learn in classrooms with damaged floors and deteriorating structures, while some pupils are forced to sit on the bare floor because there are no desks for them.
These are young children whose only hope of a better future may lie in the education they receive today. They should not have to learn under such conditions. Every child, regardless of their community or family background, deserves a safe classroom, a proper desk and an environment where learning can take place with dignity.
What makes this situation even more concerning is the reported ₦137.38 billion that Benue State received in FAAC allocations between January and September 2026. This figure needs to be verified, but if confirmed, it raises an important question: how much of the state's public revenue is being invested in basic education, and why are schools like Okoto-Ugboju LGEA Primary School still in this condition?
Public funds should translate into visible improvements in people's lives, particularly in education, healthcare and other essential services. Communities deserve transparency about how government revenue is spent, and parents deserve to know what is being done to provide their children with decent learning facilities.
We appeal to the Benue State Government, the Ministry of Education, the State Universal Basic Education Board, the relevant local government authorities and other concerned stakeholders to urgently visit this school and take concrete steps to renovate the classrooms and provide adequate desks and learning materials.
This is not about politics. It is about the welfare and future of our children. Please, let us raise our voices, share these pictures and draw the attention of those who can make a difference.
The children of Okoto-Ugboju deserve better. Their education cannot wait.

Dear Hon Minister @BTOofficial
I sincerely appreciate the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Nigeria Immigration Service for extending the Special Passport Intervention Exercise in the United Kingdom. This extension is a welcome development and a relief to many Nigerians in the diaspora who are struggling to renew or obtain their passports.
However, I respectfully appeal to the Minister and the relevant authorities to consider establishing permanent liaison offices in designated cities across the UK. Passport services should not be a one-off exercise but a continuous process that allows Nigerians living abroad to access these essential services without unnecessary stress, travel expenses, or long waiting periods.
Such offices would also help Nigerian parents whose children were born in the UK to process the necessary documentation and apply for Nigerian passports and national identity registration, in accordance with the applicable requirements.
A permanent and accessible system would demonstrate a lasting commitment to the welfare of Nigerians in the diaspora and strengthen their connection to their homeland.
Thank you once again for this extension. We hope this initiative will lead to a more permanent and sustainable solution for all Nigerians in the United Kingdom. @nigimmigration

Dataphyte Foundation, @CJIDAfrica, @DEANinitiative, @BudgITng and @YIAGA officially launched the NEDO Consortium in Abuja.
@Abdek_SDGs, Programme Manager at Dataphyte Foundation, talked about how the partnership will work across the 2027 electoral cycle. He explained that NEDO will connect observer networks, data, technology and institutional expertise, while collaborating with other civil society organisations, media groups and researchers to contribute to and draw from the consortium’s shared election data.
With over 4,000 observers to be deployed during the 2027 elections, the approach is intended to widen coverage, reduce duplication and provide a stronger evidence base for verification, public reporting, research and electoral reform.
