If you're in NYC for pnom, come check out what the LaMA lab has been up to on Friday and Saturday!
Check out our lab website, here: sites.google.com/view/meliss…
PS: @Psychonomic_Soc attendees, check out our poster #4107 this Friday eve, where I'll tell you how younger and older adults access their knowledge differently during language comprehension. tl;dr: we argue for more precise language comprehension among older adults.
As we head into Thanksgiving : feeling so much gratitude for so many people and experiences in my life that have led me down this wild path of being a cognitive scientisr, mentor, educator, and now professor and leader of a neuroscience lab studying my favorite topic, language.
Excited to spread the good word about data analysis tomorrow at an R workshop for our grads. @UNLVPsychology @UNLV @tidyverse
@JamesMHyman I had meant to connect with you! I’d love to learn more about your matlab workshop experience. Rachel shared just a bit. Would love to connect over lunch after our R workshop and trade notes!
We @UNLV @UNLVPsychology are hiring in Cog Neuro! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Huge day- booth installed in my lab. Been working on this project since November 23 and had involved no fewer than 25 ppl to get it done. All men of course.
Feels good.
First day of the semester and first Troyer / LAKELab lab meeting today! @unlv @UNLVPsychology
Reflecting on a post I wrote in the throes of the pandemic for the @cogsci_soc blog. Hoping to put many of these ideas into action as I onboard students this fall, and grateful for the opportunity to do it among supportive colleagues in the @UNLVPsychology department.

New paper! 🧠 If you're interested in how prediction during language comprehension impacts downstream memory for words and sentences, please check out my paper published in @JOCN_Journal with @CABlabUIUC! I'm very proud of this paper and would love to hear what you think. 🤓

LAKELab @ UNLV is under construction, and so is our new lab website: sites.google.com/view/meliss…
Amazing writeup of the amazing Amasong. What a joy it was to be part of this group for the last chunk of my time in Illinois.

Congrats to my new colleague @NABBlackwell and this great initiative to support undergraduate research opportunities at @NASA!
Two @UNLV professors have earned grants as part of NASA’s Minority University Research and Education Project!!! The funding will help enhance the STEM curriculum for students and bolster UNLV’s space-related research. unlv.edu/news/release/unlv-e…
