The world leaders who recognized this scam of an election showed who they really are
Let’s make sure the entire world understands. In Brazil, judicial rulings in connection with federal elections are made by the court that has been in place for that very purpose, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE).
@LulaOficial requested to the TSE that the polls be extended by two more hours in the entire country, citing “transportation problems.” Who controls the transport system? Lula’s government surely more so than a senator running for president.
Instead of waiting for a TSE ruling. @LulaOficial immediately asked Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) justice @Cristianozaninm to order the polls remain open WITHOUT any TSE ruling. Within minutes (did Zanin even read the filing?), the polls were ordered to remain open by Zanin.
The STF has 11 justices. What did Zanin do before becoming an STF justice? Oh yes, he was Lula’s criminal defense lawyer in his corruption cases.
If this blatant rigging of the elections will be used to announce that Lula won, is Lula seriously expecting anyone in the international community to recognize that as a free and fair election? He knows nobody will.
Has the desperation reached a point that today is the day the mask fully comes off and Lula becomes the next Nicolas Maduro? For the sake of Brazil, I pray that is not the case.

It would have been a brilliant move. I also think the morons didn't have the ability to distinguish between this and an actual vote for separation. This would have been the negotiating tactic that brought them everything they wanted PLUS staying in the country.
What absolute fucking idiots.
Underbid $80k on a $12 million contract. What are the odds that two companies could have bids so close. Makes you wonder , doesn’t it.
#REPORT: The Canada Revenue Agency has fired the Commissionaires, a Canadian security company that specializes in hiring ex-soldiers, and replaced them with Allied Universal, an American company which underbid them by $80,000.

With respect,
The problem so many people continue to have is that they have faith in their fellow citizens.
They believe that - if only media would stop manipulating - Canadians would see the light. They believe that the 85% can't be real because it seems so unbelievable.
If only the right "leader" would come along - or be given a chance by the media - Canadians would shift course.
They will not.
What they need to understand is that we are the 15%.
The others are not like us. They will never be like us. The 85% are government-loving pseudo-socialists, who believe that more government intervention is always the answer to everything. They understand nothing about economics. They can't add or even do simple math. They don't understand perspective. They can think only about the next 6 months. They believe national mythologies that are not real. They believe the worst situation is a situation without (enforced) rules: a bylaw without a bylaw officer.
A vast majority of them also have a financial stake in the status quo, in one way or another.
They feed off handouts. They benefit from 'programs' - and structure their household's entire economics around them (here's lookin' at you, East Coast).
They start their own businesses to feed off government largesse.
They work directly for government - or did - and now live off the benefits that it provides.
They went to university over the last 30 years and were educated by educators who were themselves educated by leftists.
There will be no shift or "great awakening" in this country. Canadians do not want one. Even as things deteriorate around them, they will cling even tighter to the status quo.
They ignore problems - or they always find an excuse - Covid, Inequality, Climate, War in Ukraine, Donald Trump - an enemy that is always "unprecedented"
They never consider that their own policies/responses to these issues may be responsible for their lives becoming harder - more expensive - more difficult for their children. They will not self-reflect. They cannot.
So, stop having faith in these people. Stop thinking they can be helped. Stop thinking it can get better. It can't get better because the 85% want it to be exactly how it is - or, at least - they think they do.

Thank you all for your engagement to responding to my post about Carney’s comments.
Canadians really are sad angry bitter little people.
I am sad for Alberta that Albertans chose to go down with ship. Canada treated you like shit before and now it’s going to be way worse given that Dear Leader Carney doesn’t have to deal with the separation issue.
Doesn’t matter what Carney thinks.
If the US recognizes Alberta as new country, there is sweet fuck all that Canada can do.
And if Canada doesn’t want to play ball with Alberta with negotiating its share of CPP and access to deep water , then Alberta can block all road and rail between BC and eastern Canada.

The culture we are importing has different methods of dealing with us infidels.
I’m Polish. If France is your future, I come from the end of that road.
France shows you the slow version. We lived the full one – the version where the state doesn’t just take care of everything. It owns everything.
In Poland it arrived with Soviet bayonets. In America it would arrive by vote – slower, softer, with better slogans. But the destination is the same, and so is the mechanism.
It starts with prices. When the state decides what things should cost, prices stop telling the truth. A price is a message: this is scarce, this is wanted, make more of this. Abolish the message, and the whole economy goes deaf. So the shelves emptied – first of meat, then of almost everything.
Every Pole knew the joke. A man walks into a shop: "No meat?" The clerk: "No, sir. Here is no fish. No meat is across the street."
We queued for everything. People wrote their place in line on their palms and kept lists through the night. You waited years for a small car, and often more than a decade for an apartment. Not because Poles were lazy. Because nobody in the system had any reason to produce what we needed.
At work, we had another joke: we pretended to work, and they pretended to pay us.
And the promise of equality? It produced the most unequal system of all. The party elite had their own shops – Poles called them the shops behind the yellow curtains. Those with dollars shopped in special stores. Everyone else got the queue.
Then the system needed informers, because nobody believed in it anymore. Our neighbors were recruited to report on us. You never knew who was listening – the colleague, the friend, sometimes family. So we learned to live a double life: one language in public, another at home.
Those who spoke up got the wolf ticket: no job, no promotion, sometimes no university place for their children. Nobody needed to send them to prison. They just couldn’t live.
The newspapers reported record harvests while the shelves stood empty. Everyone knew. Nobody said it. That is what a society looks like when the lie becomes the system.
In 1950 we were about as rich as Spain. By 1989, Spain was twice as rich. That is what forty years of "fairness" cost us.
Today in America, the method is softer. Your neighbor won’t inform on you to the secret police. Someone will report your post, and you’ll be cancelled – no job, no account, no platform. Different tools, same machine.
We got out. Ten million of us joined Solidarity, and in 1989 a system that looked eternal collapsed. Since then, Poland has become one of the great success stories of Europe – because people were finally free to build.
But we still carry it. More than thirty years later, you can see it in the careful answers, the closed faces - the system leaves faster than the fear does. It takes generations to get out of it fully once you fall into that trap.
Nobody votes for the queue. Nobody votes for the informer. They come with the promise.
Trust me, you don’t want to go down that road.
