This is arguably the best podcast from Monks & Warriors. Lt Col Subhrapratim Bose, SM, NSG and Special Group veteran is kind of soldier every commander will be delighted to have. Men like him turned the ride against militancy in J&K. What he has done in his service is astonishing. Not to be missed podcast, both part 1 and part 2.

Just a small school in a village.
Children of absolutely poor families but the warmth, cheer and sheer joy is far beyond any richest community schools.
Every trip we make to this school is humbling.
Parents, most of them don't pay up because they can't but the school run by a young couple who themselves don't have the resources don't stop the children from coming to school.
They are far more rich than the richest.
Do contribute a little to any such school with a little time and little resource.
Governments can't do. MPs and MLAs will not.
But we can.
Not for tax saving but for just putting your heart in right place.
Trust me, the joy of spending few minutes in such school talking to children is a feeling beyond all possessions.
It is Not charity. It is soul refreshing.
To youth who want to change the world and country.
Start little. Start in neighbourhood poor children school. Not by pointing fingers but by getting up doing something positive.

If given a choice, I will still choose having children.
Today my little boy hugged me and said he is waiting for me at home and I should come back soon. I don't know what achievement in life tops this one!
This is Mirzapur famous girl Shweta Tripathi.
On a recent podcast with Soha, she admitted why she chose not to have a child.
She said:
"I think once you become a mother, you become a superhuman.
It takes a lot of courage, strength, and sacrifice, and it's very tough. It is not just about the child but also about taking care of the house, also taking care of the adult child. And I don't want to be the only one carrying those responsibilities.
I have met women and asked them about having children, and they said that if given a choice today, they might not have children."

😂🏛️ 12 Types of Bureaucrats Exposed Through Cartoons! Cabinet Secretary T. V. Somanathan Sends a Message
What if cartoons could teach India’s top bureaucrats a lesson in good governance?
At a meeting with senior government secretaries, Cabinet Secretary IAS T. V. Somanathan reportedly used humour and cartoons to highlight 12 types of bureaucratic behaviour that can slow down government work.
📂 The habits under scrutiny?
Some officers throw files or speak rudely to staff. Others let files pile up instead of taking timely decisions.
Some refer matters to ministers despite having the authority to decide themselves. Others schedule late-night meetings or summon staff on weekends without respecting their personal time.
The presentation also addressed inappropriate behaviour towards women colleagues and the importance of professional boundaries.
🎨 Several illustrations reportedly drew on the work of legendary cartoonist R. K. Laxman, whose cartoons captured the ironies of Indian public life.
⚠️ But the message was serious.
Delays, misuse of authority and disrespectful workplace behaviour can undermine administrative efficiency.
Somanathan also reportedly highlighted a weakness in performance assessments: when most officers receive similarly high scores, it becomes difficult to identify truly exceptional performers.
🚀 Beyond Bureaucratic Behaviour
The meeting also discussed faster consultations between Union ministries, better coordination and Deregulation 3.0, expected to begin in January 2027 to reduce red tape and simplify compliance.
Another issue reportedly involved around one lakh railway employees holding ration cards under the free foodgrain scheme. The Railway Board Chairman was directed to ensure that those concerned surrender their cards.
💡 The bigger lesson?
Good governance is not just about policies and rules. It also depends on how officers make decisions, treat colleagues and use their authority.
Sometimes, a cartoon can deliver a message that a lengthy lecture cannot! 🇮🇳

Seems like he had multiple blows
The wound is stapled now, but if it opened up it would be a jagged mess.
The faintly visible larger wound at the top of the head, from this angle, looks like a clean cut, probably the flap they raised for surgery. I could be wrong.
Head injuries are no joke. This could have gone way worse. Any deeper injury and it would hit the part of the brain which controls vision, and he would have been blinded.
A sharp heavy object thwacked against the head, such as in this case, could cause a severe conclusive injury as well, and injury to deep viral structures of the brain.
To have mustered up the strength to function at the time of the blow is remarkable.
I am happy that he has recovered well, and the doctors who operates on him and treated him deserve hearty congratulations.
Wishing him a complete recovery and a good life ahead.
