Is there a @BBCRadio2 listening office anywhere in the UK that doesn’t switch channels at mid day once Jeremy Vine comes on.
I’d be amazed if there was not a massive slump in listening numbers.
Celebrations are in place after Britain pledges to give £10 billion to the leaders of Ukraine. This will be one of the biggest boosts to the Columbian economy in recent history

Budget today
I predict more spending
More tax increases
No accountability for their spending
No concern for struggling tax payers or business
More things to make people reliant on the state and benefits
More division
That’s @UKLabour and I’d love them to prove me wrong

What it actually means is more tax collections.. you could have had the same impact by increasing the tax free allowance but without adding costs to business which in turn adds costs to everything else which makes the increase worthless. @UKLabour just want to tax us to death
Don’t know if that’s real or not but there is a lot of truth in the fact youngsters at top clubs look down on lower league football
🚨Ronan Coughlan on his altercation with Max Dowman before his red card during Fleetwood’s victory against Arsenal:
🗣️ Ronan Coughlan: “I get sick when I see young players with so much pride and arrogance, but so little respect for the game.
“We are Fleetwood, so what? We play in League Two, so what? It’s football, and we are here to compete too. Our league position doesn’t make us any less of a football club.
“I saw him kick out at Neal, and it wasn’t a good one. I went over to check if Neal was okay, only for Max to lash out and say,
‘This is exactly why you are in League Two and we are Premier League champions.’
“I got angry and told him to shut up. Before I knew it, everyone had gathered around us, and the whole thing turned into a massive confrontation.
“I accept responsibility for my reaction, and maybe I should have handled it better. But don’t ever think playing for Arsenal gives you the right to look down on us.
“These lads work hard, sacrifice a lot and deserve respect just like everybody else. We might not have the money, facilities or superstar names, but we have pride.
“And the funniest thing is that they came here as Premier League champions, expecting to beat a League Two side, yet we are the ones celebrating tonight.
“Max needs to understand something: your badge might make you famous, but it doesn’t make you better than everybody else. Football has a way of humbling you.”
He says diversity is imprtant while saying he is building what is a ghetto. There is no other word for it.
He sould be encouraging integration not division.
It’s all planned to cause social unrest and a mandate towards killing democracy.
Seems a bit harsh charging those two British nationals for stealing petrol with terrorist charges.
I didn’t get their names were they Mr Smith and Mr Jones

Oh dear … here’s Precious Andy explaining in 2016 that the free movement of people has destroyed jobs in the UK…
He’ll say anything for power. But you must know that by now.
It’s just a race to the bottom hey Andy?
If the price of your product goes up people stop buying it. It doesn’t matter how cheap the rates are if you have no customers. No customers means no business, that means no tax collected, more unemployment more burden on the state.
How stupid do you have to be not to see that

The only person I’ve seen wearing a poppy at this awards ceremony. For that alone, you deserve the award. Good luck, H! 👏🌺

🚨Kylian Mbappé on Harry Kane winning the Ballon d’Or ahead of him and Lamine Yamal:
🗣️ Kylian Mbappé: “To be honest, I sat there throughout the ceremony and listened to everything. I barely moved from my seat because, at some point, I genuinely wanted to see whether they were going to invite us onto the stage or simply hand every award to the Spanish players!
“Every time they announced a winner, it felt like another Spanish player was going to collect a trophy. And I’m sitting there thinking, ‘Okay, let’s see how this ends.’
“At one point, Michael Olise turned to me and said, ‘Kylian, when did the Ballon d’Or become a country achievement?’
“I laughed and told him, ‘Just sit down and watch. We haven’t seen the final award yet.’
“Then Lamine won the Young Player of the Year award. Congratulations to him, because he is an incredible talent. But we were still waiting for the biggest prize of the night.
“Finally, they announced the men’s Ballon d’Or winner, and it was Harry Kane.
“Honestly, if I had to choose between Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal winning it ahead of me, I would rather see Harry win it.
“Not because I have anything against Lamine. He is a fantastic player, and I respect what he has achieved. But Harry represents something I deeply respect about football. He has worked for years, carried enormous expectations and continued to deliver at the highest level.
“Seeing him lift that trophy made me happy. I was proud of him, genuinely. But let me be clear: I didn’t travel to that ceremony to support Harry Kane. I went there because I wanted to win the Ballon d’Or myself.
“And I think people sometimes forget that. You can respect another player, congratulate him and appreciate his achievement while still being disappointed that you didn’t win.
“I sat there watching him celebrate, and part of me was happy for him. Another part of me was asking what I needed to do differently to make sure I would be the one standing on that stage next time.
“People might look at my reaction and say, ‘Mbappé should be grateful to be nominated.’ Of course I’m grateful. But I didn’t reach this level by being satisfied with nominations.
“I want to win. I want to be the best. And when I lose, I don’t suddenly pretend that winning was never important to me.
“I would rather lose the Ballon d’Or to a player I respect than win the sympathy of people who tell me I deserved it after the ceremony.”
“Harry had his night, and I respect that. But my story isn’t finished. If working harder, scoring more goals, improving my game and taking greater responsibility are what it takes, then that is exactly what I will do.
“I won’t ask anyone to feel sorry for me. I won’t complain about the result. I will go back to work.
“Because the next time I walk into that ceremony, I don’t want to sit there wondering whose name they are going to announce.
“I want to hear my own name and I want nobody to have an argument about whether I deserve it.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The detailed quote attributed to Kylian Mbappé here is fabricated; he made no such statements. Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d'Or ahead of Mbappé (2nd) and Lamine Yamal (3rd), with reports noting only Mbappé's visible disappointment at the event.

Anyone who argues that Harry Kane is not a top player is a fool.
Yes he’s not the best player of all time but he is a great. His record speaks for itself. The fact he hasn’t played for a top team who have contributed to his success only proves how good he is.

Another car crash interview from Labour.
“That’s £190,000 per person…we could buy them all a house.”
This Labour govt are out of their depth. This is scarily incompetent. It’s no wonder Labour are bankrupting us and taxes are going up to pay for it.
