August: 71% of my browser software screentime was external SaaS.
Last week: 72% was apps we built ourselves.
What changed? We built a platform for custom apps.
Building UIs got easy earlier this year, but deploying, hosting, wiring APIs, configuring billing, sharing, and fixing the same UX pattern bug again were still annoyingly slow.
Now we're making it available to y'all: xitter.cf/runwayml/status/211480…

There isn't a single creative process. Make yours an app your whole team can use.

Exciting update from @runwayml_labs !
Introducing Project Continuum by @runwayml_labs, a new operating system research application built around real-time video interfaces.
Today, we're sharing an early look at four new ways of interacting with your computer: Portals, Visual Thinking, Responsive Video Interfaces and Interactive Worlds. Interface World Models, like Solaris, are reimagining what an interface can be.

Announcing our first open-weights world-action model, Praxis-1. It turns out that, unsurprisingly, you can get predictably better robotics policy performance by scaling third-person video. It’s been fun to see the different tasks the model can solve zero-shot around our office.
We’re already working with Noble Machines, Standard Bots, and Ultra, to deploy Praxis-1 on their embodiments, and are excited to get it to the hands of more partners soon.
Introducing Praxis-1, an open-weight World Action Model that turns our video pre-training expertise into real world control for robots.
Robot demonstration data is limited. But video data is infinite. Praxis-1 extends our bet that the best policy models will learn from video, and use that scale to bring embodied intelligence to every industry.
Praxis-1 is built on our large-scale video pre-training and real-time infrastructure, and acts as a policy model for robotics developers and researchers that works across any embodiment or environment, no matter how complex.
We are actively testing with early partners including Noble Machines, Standard Bots and Ultra, and will be releasing the weights publicly in the coming months.

Excited to attend AI Summit hosted by our friends at @runwayml !
Especially cool to see a running policy built on Runway world models
AI video-generation startup Runway has launched a new AI agent that can recreate existing ads, spin out variations, localize them for other markets, and publish the human-approved versions. adweek.it/4iXnG7w
Join us in San Francisco on September 30th for an in-person hackathon to build the best agent, app or creative workflow with Runway's API. This one-day event will take place at the Masonic alongside our Runway AI Summit.
No pitch decks. No approval chains. Just a working demo by 5pm for your chance at $25K and 200K credits.

We’ve added more ARR in 2026 than in all previous years combined. In the last 30 days alone, we’ve added more ARR than we did in all of 2025.

Real-time video models are unlocking new capabilities.
A first experiment: a drawing app that animates your sketches as you draw. Under the hood, a video model generates each frame live, turning every idea into motion instantly.

We believe instant generation is where video models are headed. Last week, we released Solaris and GWM Worlds 2, and detailed our approach to agent training in digital and physical worlds. Today, we’re sharing a broader look at our research efforts in real-time video generation.

Excited to continue growing our research team in Europe with more talented people from a 3D + AI background. If you're interested in helping us scale world models, check out our careers page: runway.com/careers
Today we're announcing that the team from Kinetix is joining Runway. Their work on 3D human motion and physically grounded video generation will help advance our research into world models for robotics. The Paris-based team has joined our Paris office, strengthening our presence in Europe as we work towards simulating the world.

We crossed $200M ARR last week, doubling from $100M in April.
Runway is the world model company. We power the daily work of more than 60 million creators and 95% of the Fortune 100. From award-winning films and ad campaigns to real-time media applications to generalist robotics. Our largest customers are increasingly licensing our frontier models directly.
As we expand our research in robotics, the wonderful team from Kinetix, a Paris-based research lab, is joining Runway to help drive our efforts there.
Proud of the team for getting us here. Back to building the universal world simulator.

In the last 10 days, we announced Solaris, GWM 2 Worlds, the new Teams plan, Runway Dev MCP, Runway Ruby and the world went crazy playing HORSE. We also launched Runway Agent 10 weeks ago. It now has over 2 million users who have exchanged more than 100 million messages with it and built over 10,000 custom skills on top of Agent.
Still, what’s coming from Runway might be among the most consequential releases we’ve ever made.
Today, we're sharing new research on GWM Worlds 2. Our latest General World Model that generates interactive real-time simulations in continuous 720p video at 24 fps with 48000 Hz audio.
Built on top of our foundational audio-visual generation model, GWM Worlds 2 allows you to define the environment, subjects, visual style, physical rules and ambience of any world. Once inside, you steer it with text actions addressed to any subject or to the scene itself, alongside continuous camera motion.
The world continues from each new input instead of following a fixed clip or script so sessions have no preset length. GWM Worlds 2 creates a new foundation for interactive entertainment, virtual characters, robotics and embodied-agent simulation.
