Financial discipline is foundational and compound growth is a beast at scale
The killer KPI that nobody talks about is predictability. Companies that hit targets quarter after quarter dramatically outperform the ones that don't. Shows that they know their business insanely well, and gives investors enormous trust that they'll deliver in the future.

Tech can be socially impactful but when we create new systems (AI, blockchain, quantum) if we don’t design inclusive teams and technology we risk institutionalizing all the social harms of prior systems. Also, can’t fix tech with more tech.

Legacy tech/stunning lack of innovation/public-reporting pressure
Why dont banks have an updated and customized pov of their clients? My bank didnt know what my job is. What industry (Hu?), for some reason kept all these limitations on my account (so they could take fees) which I don’t even need. If retention is key how is this not #1 priority

I think the real surprise will be mass adoption of privacy-forward consumer products and services, with tech staying ahead of policy/law (eg encryption)
I’m confident that 2023 will be a year we get zero surprises from privacy law

what's most surprising here?

If we can’t even acknowledge structural racism and sexism in today’s systems then how could we possibly ensure bias won’t be hardwired into the next generation of AI and tech? (spoiler alert)

Charlie is a fantastic builder who’s now also our Chief Revenue Officer @lithic — just a fantastic offer for anyone who’s putting together a card program.
Going to Money 20/20? I'll be holding office hours for anyone launching fintech products - we can brainstorm ideas for putting the pieces together or going to market. Especially banking, payments, cards, or investing. If interested DM me and we'll pick a time.

One thing I love about @bolingj + @lithic team is that we spend a lot of time thinking about problems that "can't" be solved or edge cases that no one wants to entertain. Esp. true for our legal team. They are not default no, everyone is a builder. Everyone is a dreamer.
Proud day! We just shipped @lithic Send Here's why I'm excited
