Just walked into a @Nike store
Me: Hey looking for some new basketball shoes I used to wear Kobe’s what’s similar?
Nike: Oh we don’t have basketball shoes in the store you have to buy them online.
Me: I want to try them on to know they fit that won’t work.
Nike: Order online try it on and if it doesn’t fit return it in store.
Me: Ok that’s not ideal but whatever what shoe do you recommend that’s close to the Kobe’s.
Nike: We have the Caitlin Clarks.
Me: Oh I’m a male I’ll need a men’s shoe.
Nike: Oh yeah it is a man’s shoe we just name our new shoes after WNBA players.
Walks out of store….stock price makes a lot of sense now $NKE

Dario Amodei was so worried about Y2K that his high school teacher still remembers it decades later.
He’s been a doomer for much longer than I thought!
Long before they were soon-to-be billionaires, Dario and Daniela Amodei were students at San Francisco’s most elite public high school. sfchronicle.com/tech/article…

There’ll be times where you over-guide the AI. It knows better than you and is more intelligent than you.
There’ll be times where you under-guide the AI. It can go off-track, have the wrong biases, or miss context.
How well you manage this superpower is the #0 skill I look for.

Very accurate from my experience as someone who spent years at university in Europe. The default is basically soft communism that frames ambition as something to look down upon. Something vulgar
Any risk taking or excitement about the future is considered greed (or naivety)
As usual, incentives drive outcomes - when you make “being disadvantaged” your identity, you will not want to build your way out of it - you stay in the complaint to protect your identity
And sadly those ideas don’t seem to die with new generations, they’re just inherited as THE explanation for why nothing works
What’s happening in Paris and Milan is no surprise to anyone who has spent time around young people in Europe during the 2010s:
Virtually all of them were working on their 4th masters degree in social welfare, were unmarried, attended communist dinners every night, and regularly participated in riots.
Now the economy is suddenly transforming and they have nothing to show for it.

French journalist Paul Amar:
“They came prepared. They had the addresses of town halls. They had addresses of Jewish shop owners.
In a street in Marseille, all businesses owned by Jews were set on fire. Businesses run by Muslims weren’t”

We call on France to exercise restraint when dispersing the freedom fighters on the streets of Paris. These brave warriors for justice must receive immediate humanitarian aid, and their safety must be guaranteed in accordance with international law. Failure to comply will leave us no choice but to bring a case before the ICJ, in close cooperation with that renowned champion of human rights, Afghanistan.

Europe is part of our civilization; and it shows the future of the US, if we vote as they did.
For the future of the women you love, vote to be less like Europe.
Mass immigration has been a catastrophe for Europe. There is no issue more urgent before the continent than to correct this mistake.
