Months ago, @pbshgthm and I started wondering what a tool for creatives should look like.
At @1StepCloserLabs, making things had stopped feeling like making things. Most of our time went to the manual work: writing prompts, managing files, juggling chats, carrying context around by hand, and copy-pasting between tabs.
The models were already good enough. What was missing was a way to direct them without drowning in all of that.
So we started building Unshot, for ourselves first. We used it on real projects we shipped, and fixed whatever got in the way.
Today, every one of our projects runs on it.
Soon, more agencies and creative people will be using it too :)

I am hiring a talented and tasteful full-stack filmmaker for a three-month fellowship @PopVaxIndia, full-time in Hyderabad, to help the world imagine what the future of medicine will look like in our new world of abundant intelligence. We think medicine will be increasingly personalized and preventative, and the mechanics of healthcare will have to be entirely transformed to make that possible. A lot of this will look more like making science fiction than producing launch videos, though there will be some of that as well.
I'm looking for someone who is as comfortable shooting and editing a short film entirely in real life as they are generating it entirely with AI, with the ability to seamlessly embed the one medium in the other. If this is you, email me at film [at] popvax dot com with a few samples, ideally both writing and video. This is a paid position, and it has the potential (but not the requirement) to convert to a long-term role if there is mutual alignment.
My brother @SahajSankaran and I write and direct a little on the side -- see youtube.com/@honestyontape -- so, for better or worse, I will be quite opinionated about what we put out. If this goes well, it will be a deep and fulfilling collaboration on all aspects of the creative process, from the writing to the final cut.

David Bolen (cinematographer) really nailed the aesthetic of the time-period while creating the unique film imagery. Sometimes getting too indulgent, but works overall. It really took all the performances to the next level. Especially loved Merritt Wever’s character as the producer of the show. Great film.
This is truly commendable.
It’s so sad that this is the state of an education institution in our capital city. And growing up in a Tier-2 city, I have seen it myself, how much worse it is there. The worry is constant in many of my friends and members of family before sending our sisters and friends out in night by themselves. At the bare minimum, that shouldn’t be the case.
What’s more unfortunate is that great platform like Internet is often misused to make public conversations frequently consumed by manufactured outrage and trivial controversies, whether it be an ad for a betting company in another country or memes.
Outside LSR, students are raising serious concerns about their safety and asking a basic question: why should girls feel unsafe simply while returning home from college?
Students say they do not feel safe leaving campus after 7 PM, while empty pink safety booths are adding to their concerns.
Girls are protesting for their safety, yet some are hiding their faces out of fear that the police or college administration may call their parents.
PM @narendramodi , At least hear them, assure their safety, and turn your “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” slogan into reality.
