Ben Yoho, an Ohio political consultant, reportedly sent someone to Pennsylvania to find Amy Acton's mother, who was living out of her car, to put her in front of a camera to denounce her daughter.
Yoho was the recipient of hundreds of millions of dollars of DHS funds for ads of Kristi Noem while his wife, Tricia McLaughlin, worked under Noem. McLaughlin previously worked for Ramaswamy and denounced Bo French for his comments opposing the replacement of White students at UT-Austin.
Acton's mother was living with cats, having previously been convicted of killing kittens, and has been estranged from her daughter since she fled with Acton's rapist, her step-father.
Donna Arthur, Acton's mother, called her daughter a "liar."

Putin: “Elon Musk is a genius — just genuinely a genius”
The Kremlin chief said Russia maintains contact with Musk on low-Earth orbit satellite constellations, despite political disagreements.
Earlier, Musk admitted that he had restricted Starlink services for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, fearing that Putin would retaliate by shooting down his satellites in response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory.

I’m not done with you Elon.
The grand champion of government efficiency. The billionaire savant who was supposed to blast into Washington, expose all the waste, eliminate the rampant fraud, and show the rest of us incompetent peasants how it’s done.
Well, I’ve been looking into how that little DOGE experiment turned out.
And holy fucking shit.
The Government Accountability Office, an independent federal watchdog, examined DOGE’s ridiculously massive savings claims.
You know what they found?
DOGE claimed $1.7 BILLION in savings from a Defense Department contract that hadn’t even been terminated.
The contract was still there.
The supposed savings?
Zero. Zilch. A big egg.
Of 264 federal leases DOGE listed for termination, 108 were already being phased out before DOGE even existed and Elon maneuvered his pineapple shaped upper half into the Capitol.
And nearly TWO THOUSAND contracts they claimed to have terminated? Still weren’t terminated.
Two fucking thousand.
Auditors couldn’t adequately verify enormous portions of DOGE’s advertised savings either.
In other words, straight lies.
Possibly crimes.
Imagine an ordinary federal employee claiming billions in savings that didn’t exist, then failing to explain the numbers when auditors came asking.
Elon Musk and his little taint licking army of efficiency enthusiasts would be crying fraud from every corner of America.
But when it’s their demiurge Elon?
Silence.
For a man who demands receipts from the entire federal government, Musky sure has an awfully difficult time producing his own, doesn’t he?
And spare me the mythology of the self made megagenius personally fireman’s carrying humanity into the future while hopping between K holes and playing his boosted Diablo account.
Thousands of workers do the work, but the billionaire becomes a god. That tracks.
And while we’re discussing this “self made megagenius,” remember his companies have benefited from tens of billions in government contracts, loans, subsidies, tax incentives, and other public support.
Some contracts paid for valuable services. Cool shit. But it wasn’t just him.
Public institutions helped.
Taxpayers helped. We the people helped. Scientists, engineers, factory workers helped.
Then the richest man in the room gets treated like he personally invented our future.
You know what really bothers me?
The staggering double standard.
A government employee makes an accounting error? Incompetent trash. An ordinary worker needs public assistance? Lazy parasite.
We can hardly blow off an unpaid traffic ticket without a bench warrant.
But a billionaire benefits from government support and oversees an initiative whose savings claims don’t withstand scrutiny?
He’s a genius. A goddamn visionary. Saving civilization and cradling humanity itself.
Are you people fucking serious?
I don’t hate Elon Musk because he’s wealthy. I don’t hate anyone. And I don’t deny his companies have accomplished extraordinary things. They have.
I object to the grotesque transformation of financial success into unquestionable moral and intellectual authority, to the erasure of the people whose labor makes those accomplishments possible, and to watching this asshole demand accountability from ordinary Americans and immigrants while his cult refuses to demand the same from him.
You wanna celebrate technological progress? Wonderful.
Celebrate the engineers. The scientists. The factory workers. The guys who sweep the floor at night.
And if you celebrate the billionaire who helped finance and organize it, at least acknowledge the difference.
The Earth doesn’t revolve around Elon Musk. Humanity’s future shouldn’t depend on whether he gets his ego stroked off.
For fuck’s sake, stop worshipping billionaires. Stop kneeling. It’s pathetic.
They’re people. Albeit shitty people. And even if they’re lizards they should be held to the same standards as the rest of us.
No throne is beyond judgment.
And where’s my fucking DOGE check.

$11.2 BILLION to win elections, while tax payers can barely afford to live.
The GOP is shattering records as Republicans flood the airwaves with ads, attack each other, and fight desperately for power.
Meanwhile, Americans are getting crushed by the cost of groceries, housing, gas, and electricity. Voters say the cost of living is hitting depression eral levels while Washington’s political class is preparing to spend BILLIONS more convincing them it deserves another shot.
There’s always money for campaign ads. Always money for political warfare. ALWAYS money for Israel. But where the hell is the urgency when Americans can’t afford food or gas?

Wrong again @pass_blue. Under the 1947 UN Headquarters Agreement the headquarters district in NYC is in fact still US territory and US law applies there unless specified otherwise.
You should actually read the agreement. I did.
Mike Waltz, US envoy to UN, is confused as he shouts at Cuban diplomats, saying: "This is America!" but the UN is international territory: UN 101
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The UN headquarters district remains US territory under the 1947 Headquarters Agreement, where federal, state and local US law applies except as otherwise provided; the agreement grants inviolability but does not transfer sovereignty to the UN.

We're living in an economy where a guy with a master's degree is delivering groceries to a 22-year-old who made $4 million filming himself screaming at video games. And we're still telling kids to study hard.
Shouting “Cuba Next!” is not a plan. It solves nothing.
For decades, communist regimes spread repression, instability, and violence. The Soviet Union imposed communist rule across Eastern Europe. Communist dictatorships took hold in China, North Korea, and Cuba. Venezuela and Nicaragua also suffer from socialist authoritarian rule.
Cuba remains a threat to American national security and to freedom throughout the Western Hemisphere. Its dictatorship exports revolutionary ideology, supports narco-trafficking networks, and provides a foothold for hostile powers, including China and Russia.
We need a strategy, not a slogan. “Cuba Next” was always an cynical lie to exploit the pain and suffering of Cuban exiles.
First, recognize the threat. Cuba is not simply a failed communist state. It is a dictatorship that threatens regional security, enables hostile foreign powers, and violently suppresses its own people. Our strategy must confront these realities.
Second, make the case to the American people. Cuban Americans understand this threat firsthand. We must explain the threat, establish clear objectives, and secure congressional authorization to mobilize the full capabilities of our government, including military forces. Only the U.S. Constitutional process can provide the authority and resources necessary to mobilize the full capabilities of our government and the private sector in a comprehensive, unified effort.
Third, put the Cuban people in control of their future. Liberation cannot simply mean removing a dictatorship. We must prepare for a democratic transition led by the Cuban people, supported by the United States and the worldwide Cuban exile community. Our strategy must account for the political, humanitarian, economic, and security challenges that will follow.
Fourth, establish clear principles for the use of force. The United States must not shy away from military action when it is genuinely necessary.
Any decision to intervene must be grounded in the principles of Just War, the Powell Doctrine, and established standards governing the lawful and ethical use of military force. Clear objectives, legitimate authority, proportionality, adequate resources, and a credible plan for success are essential.
Finally, protect American security and Cuban lives. Our strategy must eliminate threats to the United States and our democratic partners throughout the Western Hemisphere while protecting the Cuban people from violence, reprisals, and chaos.
We must be prepared not only to end a dictatorship but to help secure a lasting peace.
Cuba libre is possible, and liberation requires more than slogans. It requires American leadership, congressional legitimacy, Cuban self-determination, and a serious strategy for achieving freedom without sacrificing the people we seek to help.

This reminds me of a carefree “Rumba de Barrio”competition out-of-place in the halls of the United Nations. If the administration is serious, it should make the case in town halls and county fairs across the United States.
This is where @RepCarlos fails. He doesn’t even try to earn the American people’s support for what the overwhelming majority of his constituents in South Florida want: a free and democratic Cuba.
U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz clashed with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla during a UN General Assembly session on Tuesday.
Rodríguez approached the podium and accused Waltz of lying as he discussed Cuba’s real estate holdings, prompting Waltz to shout, “You understand who you’re dealing with? This is America. Back up!”
