I have a received a letter from @cogatonline on the suspension of private-sector goods coordination into Gaza as a result of reports of threats and coercion by Hamas. As I have warned repeatedly, such practices are unacceptable and must end immediately. The intimidation of merchants and interference in the supply chain only deepen the suffering of Gaza's civilians.
These developments demonstrate why the rapid deployment of the @NCAG, supported by the International Stabilization Force (ISF), is urgently needed. Civilian supplies, humanitarian assistance and commercial activity must be protected from coercion, exploitation and interference.
All parties should work with the @BoardOfPeace and move without delay to implement the Comprehensive Plan endorsed by #UNSC Resolution 2803, including the arrangements required for NCAG and ISF operations in Gaza. This includes the decommissioning of weapons, the transition to legitimate transitional governance and the protection of humanitarian and commercial supply chains.
Yesterday in Cairo, @NCAG and @giz_gmbh signed an important MOU. Practical technical cooperation on services, recovery and capacity-building is essential to moving forward. None of this is easy, but sustained support from partners, under Palestinian leadership through NCAG, is necessary to translate the Comprehensive Plan and #UNSC Resolution 2803 into real tangible improvements for people in Gaza @BoardOfPeace

The return of the hostages was a historic achievement. The signing in Sharm El Sheikh represented a commitment to what comes next.
What made that day remarkable was that countries put aside profound differences to pursue something bigger: ending the war and creating the conditions for lasting peace.
I’m grateful to President Trump for his leadership, President el-Sisi for hosting us, and our partners in Israel, Qatar and Turkey, for making this agreement possible.
The signing was a milestone, but the true measure of its success will be what we build from it.
A secure Israel. A peaceful and rebuilt Gaza. A more integrated region where children grow up with greater opportunity and less fear than their parents knew.
There is much work ahead, and progress will not be easy or linear. But with big dreams and hard work, the possibility of a better future is real, and worth the effort.
The greatest achievement of diplomacy is not just the conflicts we end, but the futures we make possible.
Today, we honour the victims of the Hamas massacre of #7October. That one day in history changed Israel profoundly. The war that followed brought devastation to Gaza on a scale that will shape Palestinians for years. While the dead deserve remembrance, the living deserve a future. In my op-ed for @TheNationalNews, I argue that grief has no nationality, and that neither Israelis nor Palestinians can afford a return to the cycle that has repeatedly produced war, insecurity and loss. thenationalnews.com/opinion/…
Coming back for #UNGA, as we push forward with efforts to implement the Comprehensive Plan for Gaza, and hearing the angst of many about the state of the world, I was struck that perhaps presence is one of the UN's most undervalued assets. Not the speeches, not the declarations, but the ability to remain engaged when others walk away. If cuts need to be made, some things should be protected. A quick reflection with @eralter_eric n @TheNatlInterest. nationalinterest.org/feature…
Today, on the margins of #UNGA, the @BoardOfPeace set out how the Gaza peace plan moves from preparation to implementation. A year ago we had no framework, no roadmap, and no Palestinian-led @NCAG ready to assume responsibility in Gaza. Today we have all three. (1/5)
The @NCAG is a bridge, not a permanent administration. I ask our partners to support the Committee's plans and use their influence with all parties. Palestinians and Israelis deserve the chance to break the cycle and build a peace that lasts. (4/5)

As President Trump stated, extraordinary progress has been made in just one year: a ceasefire that ended large-scale war; the return of all living hostages and the remains of the deceased; historic increases in humanitarian aid and improved nutrition across Gaza; and a roadmap to demilitarize, deradicalize, and rebuild Gaza, which will enable a future of peace and prosperity for Palestinians, and lasting security for the people of Israel.
Our mission is hard, and the work ahead will not be easy. But with the strong support of our international partners, including the UAE, the EU, and others, we are confident that we can succeed and turn the plan’s vision into reality.
Grateful to #Kosovo for joining the International Stabilization Force for Gaza. Your contribution is a clear commitment to the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan. Mirë se vini, Kosovë! @BoardOfPeace
Barrels do not knot themselves. It takes hands, and the will to use them. Peace requires hard work. It is won slowly, through negotiations that run for months and rarely end exactly as anyone wanted. Then it rests on commitments that must be kept every day, usually without praise and without credit. No one applauds an obligation honoured. Only the broken ones are noticed... #reflection
Long day in Jerusalem, sitting down with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his team. This is the start of the hard phase and I have never pretended otherwise. Not much of what we do now is dramatic. It is slow, grinding and technical work.
As part of the process of decommissioning weapons in Gaza and enabling the transition to civilian governance, and creating a safer future in the region for both Israelis and Palestinians in Gaza, a meeting was held earlier today (Monday) between High Representative Nickolay Mladenov, together with the Board of Peace team, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his team.
The meeting was constructive and detailed. Israel and the Board of Peace share a common understanding of the ultimate objectives.
The goal is clear and is not in question: the complete decommissioning of weapons in the Strip and the transition away from rule by the gun to civilian governance. Reaching it will be a process. And that process will be set out in the next phase of the work.
Contrary to inaccurate reports, we note that the withdrawal of the IDF beyond the Yellow Line will take place only once decommissioning is complete, as Hamas committed to the mediators. This applies to light weapons, heavy weapons, and the tunnels alike.
Implementation will be overseen by the International Stabilisation Force and by the Implementation Verification Committee, on which both the United States and the Board of Peace sit.
Continued progress towards implementation in full depends on each side fulfilling its obligations under the agreed framework.
