It remains important to note that while Miami's defense has not been nearly good enough, they've allowed shooting numbers *way* above their defensive Shot Quality. Lots to fix, but I don't think they're the No. 27 defense despite sitting there by Defensive Rating.

Heat ... -- Had lost 111 straight games when facing 20-point deficits (including postseason) before last night. -- 7th time the Heat had three players score at least 27 in a game (first since 2022).

Of all the incredible World Series moments, I will never forget the honor of riding in Bob Uecker’s Corvette for the parade. To be in Ueck’s car and pass his mural with thousands of fans is a core memory. 🥹Thank you Uecker family & Roger Caplinger for an unforgettable ride! 💙

MILWAUKEE wrapped up the World Series with the highest average rating of any home market since Cleveland in the seven-game 2016 series. Powerful showing from one of America’s most passionate sports towns.

Just 11 cities can claim at least two World Series Championships with at least two NBA Championships. Milwaukee (38) is by far the smallest media market in the country to qualify. The second smallest is Miami (18). Now think about Wisconsin’s fan support. Elite in both cases.

Down -7% is better than most were predicting and 11m viewers for Games 1 & 2 is better than anything out there that’s not the NFL. More important, this “small market” series affirms one of the bedrock appeals of sports: Everyone has a chance.
No Time Like October: FOX Sports opens #WorldSeries with strong start highlighted by 12,259,000 viewers for Game 1 and 10,854,000 for Game 2. ⚾️📺

The NBA should consider having one game each week on a Friday afternoon. Make it a big event in the city that is hosting that week’s game. They would have a window all to themselves each week — especially for teams that don’t get much exposure. Primetime in Europe too.
