Lately I’ve been blocking anyone who I see being mean on here for no reason. Posting a flight attendant who’s being an angel to you but you think she looks weird, blocked. Hating on Chloe Bailey blocked. All stan pages, especially Nicki Minaj ones. Blocked.
You don’t become interesting by watching from the sidelines. You become interesting by joining in. Come make something, meet creatives, and be part of The Art Meetup.
Confidence often comes after you share your work, not before. Start with one idea, one person, or one open mic. The Art Meetup makes room to share at your own pace. Find details through the link in our bio.
We're creating more reasons to get out, meet people, learn something useful, and make progress on the things you care about.

A new chapter can start with one small decision: show up. The Art Meetup is a place to meet NYC creatives, share your work, and see what happens next.
It’s easier to take creative risks when you can be in the room without questioning whether you belong. The people, information, and spaces around your work can shape what feels possible next. I wrote about building more of that access through The Creative Plug and The Art Meetup: lailanigibsonartjobs.substac…
