Can't be overstated the extent to which these people think philosophy is simple and that they've figured it out. The reason they think they should have the power to shape AI, even as they warn it could kill everyone, is that they think they've cracked morality for the first time.

the most recent reporting by the Lancet put it at over 500,000 deaths - the people parroting the 70k number are engaging in active genocide denial propaganda.
There is no accurate death toll for a genocide that is still ongoing.

I didn’t report my rape and I don’t regret my decision at all. He would’ve got away with it no matter what, and this way I didn’t have to spend months recounting the worst moment of my life over and over again for a bunch of strangers. The system is broken.

Cornell University police condensed a former student's interview into a 6-page document that OMITTED her explicitly stating, "I can say with 100% confidence I was raped". The Tompkins County DA said his office relied on this condensed 6-page file when making the decision not to press charges. He says he hadn't seen the full interview transcript. Cornell knew what they were doing by leaving that off the summary. They wanted to sweep this under a rug. It looks like a conspiracy to cover up felony sex crimes to protect their reputation.

I had POTS and recovered because I worked out and did the regimen they told me to. I have slight episodes occasionally but I’ve worked a full-time job on my feet for years now
when i got my POTS diagnosis my neurologist told me that i should absolutely not get involved with online communities for it bc most of the people there were obsessed with being sick forever. and at the time i was like wow that’s fucked up huh but actually she was 1000% correct
