No, I don't give a fuck that BioWare is closing. That studio died years ago. It's not the BioWare that gave me Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect anymore. This is like showing up to a funeral for a corpse that's been decomposing for a decade and being expected to cry.

I think it's still hitting me even though we all knew the BioWare we loved before is no longer what it is now. This just made it official. Kind of makes me bitter now seeing all those pretenders using the BW name to push Veilguard or the creators who claimed to be BW fans say it was the same as before... sigh

All the talent that made Mass Effect had been long gone.

More like checking in on that friend you haven鈥檛 heard from for a while only to find out they OD鈥檇 or something. You stayed away because it was too hard to watch but you鈥檙e definitely not shocked.

It doesn鈥檛 matter if they were a shell of what they were, the company was synonymous with some of my favorite memories in gaming and just to finally be presented with the absolute certainty that it鈥檒l never happen again is heartbreaking nonetheless. I鈥檒l always have my memories

Granted, during that decade, they threw a dress and makeup on that corpse, and proceeded to parade it around. This is just reading the obituary are finding out they finally got tired of their corpse play, and finally put it to rest.

Except they didn鈥檛 kill themselves but were murdered by EA slowly and steadily, long before this day.

This. I was super bummed a while back to find out that apparently no one was left who knew the DA code well enough to toss us a remaster for 1-3 馃ズ DA Legendary Trilogy would have been really cool.

BioWare hasn't been the same studio that gave us Dragon Age Origins in a long time. I just wish they had shut down prior to The Veilguard, that being their last game is both funny and brutal

Its hard for me to care when the best game I play from Bioware is from 20 years ago. How tf have they made this long under EA.

Thank you, i said the same thing once i read the news. The BioWare we loved was not longer around since a lot of time. I am glad they can't crap on the corpse of the legacy anymore.

Sadly this is my sentiment too. Maybe the canceled Mass Effect would have been a revival of sorts after the slop of Veilguard but I doubt it, Mass Effect 4 was a great indicator before that either. Like you said the old guard for the most part left long ago.

Not untrue, but still extremely sad.

its sucks ass for the people losing their jobs but yeah its literally not the same company we used to know and love

Man. DA Origins was so damn good. Such an Amazing studio. Mass Effect 2 is my favorite ME. Just incredible games. The studio died when it was taken over by Literal Blue Haired retards 10 years ago

Parab茅ns! Conseguiu sintetizar o sentimento de v谩rios jogadores frustrados com essa caralhada de est煤dios que est茫o focados em qualquer coisa, menos no p煤blico alvo

Agree with some caveats; They were fine until EA bought them. Lowest common denominator shite that please shareholders. Fuck that fucking company!

I'm sad. We will never see Mass Effect 4.

My thinking is that if they were still the BioWare that gave people Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect, they would not be closing.

Im just relieved they are finally and "officially" dead. Now comes the next hurdle... what are they going to do with the IPs...

They gave me Anthem (lack of content but what they showed was promising). Star wars the old republic was hopefully sold a few yeats back and will survive I think, it is a great mmorpg.
38
I've been saying this for well over a decade about every EA studio.
18
I personally don't feel anything for the studio anyway. Not that I hated them, of course not.
32
Amen. The shitshow that was ME3 came out 15 years ago and I see people barely older than 20 insisting they're real fans. Its not even a rotted corpse. Its petrified bones.
30
It gave me Veilguard, and that was truly a masterclass in game development. I hope these developers steal other opportunities in the industry and keep on making such artpieces. Truly ahead of the time.

Hopefully ex-Bioware vet devs won't mess up "Exodus" so that Archetype Entertainment can continue in some way legacy of old BioWare. Same for Casey Hudson's Arcanaut Studio with "Star Wars: Fate of The Old Republic"

I'm still in mourning. Yes, VG was hot trash, but I was hoping they would get sold and revamped/revitalized not killed off. 馃樋
