Emmy Award-winning voice actor Eric Bauza, best known for voicing Bugs Bunny and many other beloved "Looney Tunes" characters, has died. He was 46. Born in Canada, Bauza went on to log more than 400 acting credits across TV and film during his 25-year career. He was also the first person of color to voice Bugs. Recently, he helped to get "Coyote vs. Acme" into theaters after it was initially shelved by the studio. The movie went on to make over $100 million worldwide. Los Angeles County officials say Bauza died from a form of heart disease at his home.

Breaking: the FAA has shut down airspace over the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site, with a notice calling it a “US Government Nuclear Incident.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The FAA NOTAM used standard terminology for a temporary restriction during a nuclear site incident; official updates confirm a contained lab fire was extinguished with no detectable off-site contamination and the Site Area Emergency was terminated. public.srs.gov/2026/10/savann… cnn.com/2026/10/28/us/…

Love being back at an opera festival. At a recital a tenor sets up an encore saying ‘You all know this one’ and it’s Nessun dorma and the audience reacts like it’s Free Bird

Dolores Huerta, the labor and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers union, has died at the age of 96. Her family announced her death on Instagram. "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for us, and we ask for privacy as we grieve this incredible loss to our family," the family wrote. "We know that many of you around the world share in our mourning, and we will be following up on plans to recognize and celebrate her incredible life and legacy." Huerta co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, now known as the United Farm Workers, with Cesar Chavez in 1962 to improve working conditions for farmworkers. She organized strikes and negotiated contracts, helping farmworkers gain job security, healthcare and better labor conditions, among other benefits. Her work also helped lead to the passage of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act of 1975, the first law that gave U.S. farmworkers collective bargaining rights. Huerta is also credited with giving the UFW its rallying cry, "Sí, se puede," Spanish for "Yes, it can be done." Earlier this year, Huerta revealed that Chavez sexually assaulted her in the 1960s. Outside of the UFW, Huerta also fought for change in immigration, voting rights, women's rights, LGBTQ rights and more. Huerta received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, in 2012. Photo by Mike Blake via Reuters

It’s so cool that nobody involved seems to be aware of how pathetic this is. “You have to actually read a whole book every week, show up to class, and can’t use Phone.”
Mortifying that this is now what counts as a rigorous undergrad liberal arts class at an Ivy League school

I had real trouble believing that Google was actually doing this, but I just duplicated the result myself. The two queries were about a minute apart and identical except for a single digit.
