What we witnessed today was extraordinary. A massive convoy of emergency vehicles traveled west on I 10 just east of Tallahassee, heading directly toward communities devastated by Hurricane Isaias. The storm struck near Destin as a Category 2 hurricane with winds of 105 mph, leaving widespread destruction and hundreds of thousands without power across the Florida Panhandle and surrounding states. This was more than a line of flashing lights. It was help on the way. It was courage, compassion, service, and hope moving toward people who need it most. To every first responder, National Guard member, utility worker, law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedic, volunteer, and emergency worker answering the call, thank you. While others move away from danger, you move toward it. Please keep the Panhandle, every affected family, and every responder in your prayers. Share this video so the nation can witness what courage and service look like. Beginning next week, we will once again collect donations and mobilize hurricane relief support alongside our community partners, South Florida law enforcement agencies, Global Empowerment Mission, Cleveland Clinic, and the many dedicated organizations that always answer the call. Together, we will stand with these communities and help bring hope and relief to those who need it most. #HurricaneIsaias #FloridaPanhandle #FloridaStrong #FirstResponders #DisasterResponse #HurricaneRelief #StormRecovery #PrayForFlorida #HelpIsOnTheWay #Tallahassee #DestinFlorida #I10 #GlobalEmpowermentMission #ClevelandClinic #SouthFloridaStrong #CommunityStrong

🌪️ Tornado Like Damage 🌀 #Isaias caused significant damage to trees, buildings, and trailers in Santa Rosa County, Florida. The scenes look like something you'd see in the aftermath of a tornado. #FLwx

Don’t have any pictures, but the damage on Quintette Road and Chumuckla Highway in Pace was unbelievable. Numerous power lines were destroyed. Parts of Chumuckla are still blocked by tree debris.

The power is still out in Pace, FL. However, that also means that the normal light pollution is currently absent. The night sky is looking absolutely gorgeous. I cannot remember the last time the stars were this visible. @rzweather

Hurricane Isaias unleashed such powerful winds off Escambia Bay that the brickwork on the north side of this home in Pensacola was visibly warped.

Had to drive from Fairhope to the Pace area today to help my family with storm cleanup. It’s bad in Pensacola/Pace. I have not made it into the main part of Pace or Milton, but what I have seen has been quite awful. It’s a war zone on Highway 297A/Lewis Street in Pensacola.

Quintette Road was bad but passable. The Ashley Plantation neighborhood suffered some significant tree, fence and roof damage. Highway 297A was easily the worst area though. Numerous damaged structures and power lines. Quite a few trees down on homes as well.

The reports/pictures I’m seeing from Pensacola, Pace and Milton are simply heartbreaking. Numerous trees and power lines down, structural damage, roads impassable, etc. Grocery Outlet in Pace lost its roof. Walmart on Hwy 29 in Pensacola also has roof damage. Awful storm.

While there is still damage and recovery to happen, Baldwin County seemingly dodged a bullet this weekend. I’ve seen some limbs/trees down and minor roof damage (see below), but overall the area around 181/104 in Daphne/Fairhope is doing okay and still has power.

Eyewall missed me but got blasted by the sting jet. I lost power & couldn’t load radar or anything, I thought maybe the eyewall wobbled this way a bit. Got pretty wild here for about 20-30 min. #Isaias

This is a common story throughout all of Pace/Milton. Numerous reports of large trees are down across the area. Additionally, it seems like roofs took some damage in the Five Points area.

Starting to see some structural damage in Crestview, FL. A gas station canopy has collapsed as the strongest winds of Hurricane Isaias move in. @NWSMobile
