Introducing Oboe, the easiest way to learn anything, with magical courses made just for you.
We’re heading toward a future where humans only exist to feed AI. AI gets smarter, we get stupider. But what if AI’s purpose was to feed us? That’s the future we hope Oboe can help nudge us all towards.
Oboe is the world’s first AI-powered generalized learning platform. With a single prompt you can generate a personalized course about anything. From the history of AI to contract law, from ordering wine in France to understanding how mortgages work. And the more you use it, the better it gets at teaching you.
Oboe is available now, for everyone in the world, for free.
“Good branding, I find, is like true love. You don’t have the words to describe it. You don’t know what it’s supposed to look like. But you trust that when you see it, you’ll know. Here, the team and I knew.
As for why? I’ll give it a try: The lightness, the accessibility, the approachability, the curiosity, the relevance to the concept of rabbit holes, the sense of discovery. It was playful without being overtly comical. It was welcoming and familiar while looking unlike anything I’d seen.” -Nir Zicherman, CEO, Oboe.
We’re honoured to receive a 2026 red dot Award for brand & communication🎉
Translating a feeling into something concrete is exceptionally difficult but incredible when it comes together. Special thank you to Anna Sian, Wayne Wu & Work of the People for their amazing work helping Oboe bring together our brand identity!

You before Oboe: I wish I could create high quality diagrams to teach me EXACTLY the thing I want to know. Why can't I do that? 😭😭😭😭

Large language models are bad teachers, despite hundreds of millions of people using them to learn every day. Here are a bunch of reasons why:
1. They overwhelm you with huge blocks of text
2. They put the burden on you to decide what to do next
3. They veer off course without trying to keep you on track
4. They don't explicitly build and stick to a learning path like a teacher does
5. They force everything to happen inside of their experience
6. They speak robotically and pedantically
7. They don't easily let you create and manage helpful learning resources
8. They don't quantify your progress
9. They often attempt to create visuals via text, emoji, or ascii art circa 1999
10. They obfuscate how they know what they know
Oboe on the other hand:
1. Breaks everything down into clear, digestible chunks
2. Drives the conversation forward while allowing you to interject or ask questions
3. Has an opinion, like a good teacher does, of where to lead you
4. Creates a learning path, makes sure you see it, and evolves it as needed
5. Allows you to share and consume what you create in Oboe elsewhere, including podcasts
6. Speaks to you like a friendly, helpful tutor
7. Lets you create tons of artifacts, from diagrams to worksheets, from quizzes to songs
8. Helps you understand how much you're progressing across all your chats
9. Creates beautiful, modern, clear visuals only when it would help the learning process
10. Shares exactly what its sources are and how they tie into the material.

Today, we're rolling out on-demand songs and diagrams in @oboelabs.
You remember the alphabet from when you were 4, but you've already forgotten something you read this morning.
That's because walls of text are the worst way to retain what you want to learn. Songs lodge in your brain for decades, and a good diagram can help a complicated concept click in seconds.
Two new ways to learn, live today.

AI is making teachers’ jobs a nightmare.
Despite educators being the main force ensuring future generations remain smart, curious, and capable, every day is a struggle for them.
AI enables unprecedented levels of cheating. It's disabling students’ ability to think critically and form their own thoughts and opinions.
At Oboe, we want to turn AI on its head. Rather than using it as a shortcut, we want to use it to democratize access to great learning. So our goal is the same as that of teachers: teaching billions of people trillions of things.
That's why, starting today, we’re offering completely free access to Oboe Pro for the first 1,000 teachers that email us at [email protected] from their school addresses.
If you know a wonderful teacher who would love Oboe, please send this their way.

decent argument that obsession will outperform skilled/expertise in the era ahead.
curiosity and initiative are fueled by obsession, not knowledge…and access to knowledge is increasingly ubiquitous.
k-12 curriculum should be focused on finding + pursuing passions

Here's what the internet will soon become because of AI:
An infinite library, with infinite truths and infinite falsehoods, and a complete inability to tell those two things apart.
This is straight from the 1941 Jorge Luis Borges story “The Library of Babel”. In it, he imagines an infinite library made up of books of random letters.
Because it is infinite, it contains not only every book ever written, but every book that could possibly be written. It contains every possible truth as well as an infinite number of falsehoods.
The secrets of the universe, of life, of everything, are hidden somewhere in that library.
The only issue is: that magical book is impossible to find. And if you found it, how would you ever know you found the book of truth, and not one of the infinite books of lies that surround it?

optimizing how humans really absorb knowledge is a fascinating new vector of consumer product innovation.
cognitive expansion > cognitive offloading (aka laziness)
AI is making you stupid. Today, we're introducing the all new Oboe, designed to make you smarter.
Think about the last 10 answers you got from an LLM. How many of them do you actually remember? Probably none, because LLMs are not good teachers.
But @oboelabs helps you learn the way humans are supposed to: through guided conversations, frequent checks for understanding, real-time adjustments, and multiple formats for all learning styles.

Everyone believes AI will revolutionize learning. But there has been a massive under-investment in the products that will make this actually possible. This is our focus at Oboe. Our mission is to make humanity smarter.
LLMs are good at reciting facts. They are not so good at helping people actually learn things through the ways we naturally learn: through conversation, repetition, a variety of learning formats, topics we're genuinely excited about.
Today's update gets us closer. A few of my favorite things about it: We're now generating highly detailed (and beautiful) educational graphics far beyond what the LLMs can currently produce. This blew my mind when the team showed me. We're also helping people actually understand what's happening in the world at any given moment (such as the Elon / OpenAI trial) through a powerful real time education engine.
A lot more details below from my co-founder Nir. Hope you'll check it out.
