After a long stretch on Drop Site’s Twitter since August 2024, I’m taking some time away for health reasons. You will likely still see a few posts from me each week, but the regular news flow won’t be me for a while. Grateful to everyone who’s followed and supported our work.

"every inch of Israel is Palestine. It was always Palestine." That's the actual and only valid bar for anti-zionism
⭕️ Pulitzer Prize winner Benjamin Moser: “The more I studied Zionism, the more I spent time there, the more I realized that every inch of Israel is Palestine. It was always Palestine. Jews were never not allowed to live there as equal citizens, as they are in Britain or any other Western country. But the establishment of this state really did mean this massive ethnic cleansing that was not just a one-off.”

This was absolutely terrific. I always love listening to Khalidi anyway but he was in fine form in this two hour interview where the hosts did a phenomenal job with the questioning.
Out now! We got Rashid Khalidi back on Bad Hasbara. You should check it out.

Khalidi uses the word “bitch-slapped,” and Matt tells Khalidi, who turns 78 in 3 weeks, that he is the perfect age to carry out an attack on Israel.

If you flip the nationalities, suddenly the killing of two uniformed soldiers is no longer a terror attack, but rather a precision military operation, carried out successfully. So.
I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured. I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis. And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response. I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image. For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

“I’m grieving the deaths of the two Nazi soldiers killed by Jewish resistance fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto today. But collective punishment or the destruction of an entire neighborhood cannot be justified by the criminal act of two.”

Keeping on a commissioner backed by business and corporate Dems will let him push reforms, including the force review and disbanding of the SRG, without any big backlash, I’m told. All-time historical lows in major crime makes firing her impossible to justify publicly.
.@nycmayor says he won’t be firing Commissioner Tisch

“At this point, DSA should remove him from the organization.”
At this point, DSA should remove him from the organization. It would be pretty easy given he is in violation of R22, if I'm not mistaken. If he isn't going to submit to the demands of the movement, he should face consequences.

Some people are furious that Mamdani entertained the idea that policing can impact crime. They’re calling it inexcusable for a mayor to suggest that the police might have something to do with public safety.

“I might need to get a Kleenex out man. It makes me sad. What Republicans have done. To our rural communities.” "The sheriff's nephew threatened to blow my head off!"
Watch this to the end, you won’t regret it. This is what happens when you’re at happy hour and are reminded you agreed to do an interview about your race.
