Victims & Fighters Against Police Violence Speak Out! Join us for a panel discussion on Police Accountability and the Fight for Justice at the Chicago Teachers Center. Panelists will include: Brian Mendis – OPA organizer and Midwest PDC representative Elizabeth Toledo – Mother of Adam Toledo. Adam was 13 years old in 2021 when Chicago cops gunned him down in cold blood as he faced the cop with empty hands raised in the air. Chantell Brooks – Mother of Michael Westley. 15-year-old Michael was shot down by Chicago cops in 2013. Michael was gunned down as he was running down the street in gym shorts. Cops claimed he had two guns, but no gun is visible in the video moments before he was murdered. In response to the video, Brooks noted, “Anybody in their right mind know you can barely hold keys or a phone or anything in gym shorts and run that fast.” Cara Wilson – Cara is the mother of Alexis Wilson. 19-year-old Alexis went to a fast-food drive thru weeks before entering college. The police were called when Alexis became upset and had a verbal exchange with a restaurant employee. She refused to get out of the vehicle because she was improperly dressed. One cop punched her through the open driver side window while another jumped into the passenger side and shot her seven times. No gun was found on the scene but that didn’t stop cops from lying, claiming that she had one to justify this brutal execution. Jasmine Smith – Co-chair of Campaign to Free Incarcerated Survivors of Torture and Co-chair of Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression Clayborn Smith – on leadership team of We The Survivors. As a young man, Clayborn was arrested for allegedly killing his grandparents and beaten into giving a false confession by one of Jon Burge’s crew. Burge became infamous for his brutal team of cops known for beating and torturing their “suspects” to obtain confessions. Clayborn was one of those victims. Framed up for a crime he did not commit, he spent nearly 30 years in prison. He now dedicates his life to helping others in his situation. Join us on October 27, 5:30pm, Room 126 at the CTU Center, 1901 W. Carroll Ave., Chicago

Defend Xolani Khoza! iclfi.org/pubs/aba/3/khoza
Xolani Khoza entering Mbombela courthouse, 14 October 2026, surrounded by his supporters. The struggle continues: the prosecution once again requested a postponement. His next trial date is set for 21 April 2027 (!). The tactic is meant to grind Xolani and his defenders down.

Here's a powerful Irish song by the Wolfe Tones against repression. "And you dared to call me a terrorist while you looked down your gun I think of all the deeds that you had done You had plundered many nations, divided many lands You had terrorized their peoples, you ruled with an iron hand And you brought this reign of terror to my land " So true, relates in its way to wave of repression here by US Empire in the name that leftists are "terrorists." We invite our comrades, friends and fighters around the globe to arm us with the songs against imperialism, capitalism, and oppression where you are that inspire your fight. youtube.com/watch?v=TPgqvfgh…

Yet another betrayal by Mamdani. As a Dem Party mayor, like those before him, he’s clear what side he’s on. Socialists should be too.
Mamdani met with Rozario's family HOME during the mayoral election and implied he was committed to use all available mayoral authority to hold police accountable. Once he got in, he slowrolled what he promised Rozarios fam. THAT IS BAD DELIVERISM POLITICS.

The Partisan Defense Committee is adding Joy “Rowan” Gibson and other Prairieland defendants to our class-war prisoner stipend program. Outrageously, Rowan has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison on bogus “support to terrorism” charges for protesting at the Prairieland ICE detention facility in Texas on July 4, 2025. The Prairieland case is the front line in the government’s war to outlaw protest. An injury to one is an injury to all! We need to fight to free all the Prairieland defendants! As an expression of our class solidarity, the PDC has revived the tradition of the International Labor Defense by sending monthly stipends of $100 to class-war prisoners. This support for class-war prisoners is not an act of charity but the duty of those on the outside toward those inside prison walls. The PDC's other current stipend recipients are Mumia Abu-Jamal, Leonard Peltier, and Xinachtli (Alvaro Luna Hernandez). Write letters to Rowan using the following address: Johnson County Jail, TX Joy Gibson, 202502016 P.O. Box 247 Phoenix, MD 21131 prairielanddefendants.com/de… @DFWSupCommittee

Sad news indeed. We learned a lot about the state repression we must fight from Ward Churchill, especially about COINTELPRO against AIM and Leonard Peltier. He was an early important Open Police Archives endorser. He asked "why didn't you come to me first for this?" We send our best to Natsu Saito. Remember Ward Churchill!
Sad news the revolutionary writer and academic Ward Churchill has passed. His book on COINTELPRO, the US counter insurgency program to destroy & disrupt radical movements & murder Black leaders via the FBI is a must read on government operations against movements. Rest in Power.

Hands off FRSO! Fight the galloping state repression of the left!
On August 11 the FBI visited an Orlando activist, asking questions about Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO) and its leadership. It’s clear that this is a part of a pattern of ongoing state repression that began in 2010, when more than 70 FBI agents took part in a series of coordinated raids that were aimed at activists of the anti-war international solidarity movements, and also members of FRSO. These agents are sniffing around, looking for people who will talk to them and help them do their work. As ever, their aim is to infiltrate and destroy our movements. The Trump administration has made it abundantly clear that they are pushing that agenda hard. No good has ever come from activists or communities talking to the FBI. fightbacknews.org/articles/f…

Black liberation is central to the fight for socialism. Dem DSA electeds drop it, the DSA Right rails against "Woke 1.0," and the Left...responds with abstractions about abolition. How do we go forward? Check out the latest episode of GMAB for the answer: buzzsprout.com/2619002/episo…

Great episode! Historically the struggle for black liberation has lacked socialist leadership and a link to the class struggle. If DSAers are serious about changing this, they should join the fight to Open Police Archives! opanow.org/
