You do realize the only thing preventing an effectively infinite expansion of the gold supply is the cost of energy, right?
Bitcoiners have been massively triggered. They think AI can make gold. Bitcoin or ETH or xxx coin is code… an established network. Something that fits within the abilities of AI to replicate with the correct masters and capital to start a crypto coin. Or a version of bitcoin that works as a currency or ?

I don't usually write personal stuff, but a few words about my experience of being interviewed by Gary Stevenson. It started with a nice chat, comparing taste in hoodies... then the tone changed. He demanded to know why I'd deleted a tweet criticising him.

My attempt to protect users from scam apps on the @AppStore has gotten my Apple Developer account flagged for termination - ironically, for "dishonest activity". Unless it's reversed by June 30, all new installs of Sparrow Wallet will fail, and development on macOS will end. The context: since 2023, more than a dozen fake "Sparrow" apps have appeared on the App Store, as recently as April this year. Users have contacted me after losing their savings, in some cases their life savings, to these impersonators. I'm the developer of the real Sparrow Wallet, a desktop app, and I hold the registered US trademarks for the name and logo. I have publicly warned @Apple and the community about these fake apps from early 2024, but they keep appearing. The app @Apple flagged was a placeholder that was never published. Its only purpose was to warn users that Sparrow is desktop-only and that other "Sparrow" apps aren't mine. This approach may have been misguided, but there was nothing dishonest about it. I'm confident this is an automated misclassification that Apple would reverse on review - but I may be terminated before a human ever looks at my appeal. The cost would fall on @Apple's own users: blocked installs and no updates for a tool people rely on, which opens the door for more fakes. If you value Sparrow, a repost would help. @AppleSupport
Didn’t work. App (with the screens below) was rejected for having “placeholder content” and only “demonstrating a concept”.

Imagine being so bad at government that you do a national “child safety” push that prompts the opposition of…. Save the Children 🥴 (And they’re right)
Following the announcement that under-16s will be banned from social media in the UK, we spoke to our digital safety expert, Jeffrey DeMarco to get his thoughts on this and what children's rights look like in the digital age. He explains that protecting children online is not simply about restricting access to technology or social media, but about building digital resilience, strengthening support networks and ensuring that technology companies design products with children's wellbeing in mind. To find out more about how can we ensure children are able to benefit from the opportunities online platforms create while remaining safe, informed and empowered, watch the full interview on YouTube here: bit.ly/49Y9fe4

All pricing comes from: -sellers charging as much as they can -buyers paying as little as they can If you've ever gone to a cheaper shop to buy the same thing, you are as immoral as an emplyer paying less for a similar but different worker.

NETHERLANDS TO TAX UNREALIZED BITCOIN GAINS Netherlands is moving toward taxing unrealized capital gains on bitcoin, stocks, bonds, and other assets after parliament voted to overhaul annual income tax filings. Under the new system, investors will owe tax each year based on changes in asset value, even if nothing has been sold. The reform, known as Wet werkelijk rendement Box 3, is scheduled for 2028 and will tax actual returns by measuring the difference between an asset’s value at the start and end of the year, plus any income received. That means both realized and unrealized gains will be taxed. Critics warn the shift could create serious liquidity problems, forcing investors to pay taxes on paper gains without having cashed out.

Keonne is surrendering himself to jail today. I recommend following @keonne’s wife, @leamuirleyn, for updates on his freedom. Lauren will also be posting messages from Keonne himself, directly on Keonne’s account. Lauren—we got you. Tell Sabrina the same. A presidential pardon is the only way to secure justice for Keonne & Bill, and to preserve the rights of good-hearted Americans everywhere. Let’s get it done, together. #PardonSamourai 🇺🇸🟠

1) The war on drugs is a mistake, and a human rights violation -- comparable to Jim Crow or buggery laws. Our grandchildren will be ashamed we had anything to do with it. 2) Silk Road eventually had >100,000 customers. Of these, the govt found just 6 people, total, that they *claim* died as a result of drugs they bought there. In contrast, California highways cause 10-11 deaths, per 100,000 people, per year. Often these are DUI / texter, hitting an innocent person who dies. You are responsible for enforcing these traffic laws, and for public safety. But if I locked you up for this, you would presumably want a pardon. 3) Ross simply wrote an eBay-style website. Yes, it was unique in that it allowed both illegal and legal goods. But writing a website is not fundamentally different from writing a book, or a song. And lawbreaking is often essential to activism -- the Underground Railroad was (of course) illegal. Imagine calling Rosa Parks a "FELON". Or complaining Eisenhower pardoned her!

German broadcaster BR names Calvin Ayre "the man behind Wirecard", a financial scandal described as the biggest in the history of postwar Germany. tagesschau.de/investigativ/b…
Congratulations to the BR reporter team Arne & Josef for their outstanding investigative work. Their latest revelations on Calvin Ayre add a significant new dimension to the Wirecard AG scandal, exposing connections that were long concealed behind layers of obfuscation. Having spent years working to uncover the truth about this network, I know how crucial such rigorous journalism is in piecing together the full picture. Each new disclosure brings us closer to understanding the scale and sophistication of the operation. tagesschau.de/investigativ/b…

This is why you don't use hand sanitizer.
Your skin actively kills microbes using chemicals and beneficial bacteria that defend you before your immune system even responds. It is a living antimicrobial shield, not just a protective surface.

Keir Starmer keeps saying the UK needs a digital ID system and that we should “look at Estonia.” Ok, let’s look at Estonia 👇 In 2021, a hacker stole 286,000 IDs from the Estonian government database. Centralised digital ID = centralised risk. One breach, everyone’s exposed.

Digital ID has nothing to do with immigration, just think critically for 3 seconds. Britain currently has up to 1 million illegal immigrants. Many, if not most, are known to the authorities. And yet they're still here. The reason they're here is NOT that we can't identify them (the problem Digital ID is supposed to solve), the problem is that we won't deport them even when we know who they are. This is not about immigration, it's about building CONTROL INFRASTRUCTURE. It's why Blair tried and failed to push them through 20 years ago. Imagine that governments which routinely arrest people for jokes and memes, locked people in their homes during COVID and think half the country is "far right" have these tools at its disposal. And, some of you are convinced half the country really is "far right" and are about to elect that evil fascist Herr Farage. You want him to have this control infrastructure at his disposal? This needs to be opposed by everyone across the political spectrum. It has nothing to do with what you're being told: Starmer is lying to you and so are his media lackeys.
