We were once led.
Kgosi Lucas Manyane Mangope was peerless, an embodiment of true visionary leadership that turned Bophuthatswana into envy of many, and an example of what could be when black people take charge of their economic destiny and development.
What once was Bophuthatswana lies in ruins today because of the ANC. All the economic advancements achieved by Mangope during the 17 years of the existence of Bophuthatswana have been reversed, and everything else systematically destroyed.
The ANC failed to inherit what was good and build on it. The entire country today is dysfunctional, yet they continue to destroy whatever economic leverage that remains with government.
The same ANC called Mangope an apartheid stooge while he led economic development of Bophuthatswana, which was highly industrialised; yet they failed to achieve in 30 years a fraction of what he achieved only in 17 years.
Mangope warned us about the ANC. He was their former member. He understood them. He knew then even before they gain power in 1994 that these things were very useless. They proved him right.

UNISA SBL | CELEBRATING OUR DOCTORAL GRADUATES
A celebration of scholarship, intellectual excellence and the highest academic achievement!
Congratulations to our Doctor of Business Leadership (DBL) graduates! We celebrate your extraordinary academic achievement, one that represents far more than the culmination of years of rigorous research and intellectual pursuit. It is a meaningful contribution to the advancement of knowledge and the future of leadership.
At UNISA GLOBAL Graduate School of Business Leadership, we believe that the true measure of scholarship extends beyond the conferral of a qualification. It lies in the ability to challenge established thinking, influence practice, inform decisions and translate knowledge into meaningful change.
To our DBL graduates, You have reached the pinnacle of academic achievement, but the responsibility of scholarship does not end here. May you continue to ask difficult questions, advance African scholarship, shape leadership discourse and contribute solutions that respond to the realities of our continent and the wider world. Your research now forms part of a growing body of knowledge upon which future generations of scholars, leaders and decision-makers can build.
The degree is conferred. The contribution continues.

She emphasised that the SABC has a responsibility to provide accessible broadcasting services, including multilingual news bulletins and sign-language services, which cannot simply be discontinued because of financial constraints. She also highlighted the importance of community radio in serving poor and rural communities.
