Be smart, Ohio: read this one of two 911 incidents; it shows Amy lacks the temperament for an executive role. 2019 incident (August 17–18) While Acton served as Ohio Department of Health director, her adult daughter (then about 23) called 911. The dispatch log recorded: “step dad and mom are fighting and mom has been drinking and throwing things and breaking glass / daughter has left house and heading to her dad’s.” According to the Bexley police field report: • Acton and her husband Eric argued verbally over her long work hours. • She felt he was antagonizing her. Going downstairs, she pulled down a wall mirror, shattering the glass. • Both had been drinking earlier. Acton told officers she had taken an unknown amount of prescription medication. • She went to the garage intending to leave/drive; her husband talked her out of it because she had been drinking. • A Columbus Fire medic checked her and advised the hospital; she refused.
