Afternoon. I can't for the life of me fathom why anyone would take the tube home when you can stroll back through Hyde Park. Very autumnal 🍂 Home now and heating up some Mulled wine 🍷

always suspicious when somebody is constantly ridiculed and/or vilified by the msm. Use it like a reverse barometer.

“you’ve got to go back to 1997 to see where the country’s problems really started,” says @trussliz . “It’s about how Blair and Brown fundamentally changed our governing system. And how we’ve now ended up in a system where politicians aren’t really running things. It’s only when you get to the very top and you see how it really works that you realise how big the problem is.” Wednesday’s “nothing burger” budget was case in point for Truss. In her view, Healey never stood a chance of doing anything interesting. “We’re now in a very rigid system where all the parameters are set by unelected bureaucrats,” she says. “They literally write the rules. The OBR, together with the Bank of England and the Treasury, they set the amount of pocket money the chancellor has to spend.”  What ever you may have thought of Truss before - like Trump 1.0 the experience of the deep state in full flow has transformed her. We should take note - “I could have a cushy City job but I want to tell the truth’ @joshglancy @thetimes

Circa 1996-2003, the job market was so healthy you could tell a boss to go fuck himself and be working somewhere else in a week or so. That's before minimum wage and EU employment red tape kicked in. It was better for workers to have the flexibility and choice and better for employers as the people working for them actually wanted to. That's what we need to get back to - not bailing our failing poundshops.
The bottom line here is that government should not meddle in private enterprise - even in these circumstances. Yes, 12000 jobs are on the line, the but job of government is not to pick winners and losers - not least because they usually pick losers. The job of the government is to create the conditions where those workers can lose their jobs on a Friday and be in new ones the following week. It's only shit news for poundland workers because Labour's economic vandalism means these people will be unemployed for months. That is where the policy response must be.

Dr David Kelly was murdered by Mi5 because he exposed Campbell and Blair’s lies. Lies that led to the slaughter of at least a million Iraqi’s and the displacement of millions more. Campbell is a demon. He should be hanging by his ankles in the Tower of London.
I have heard it from far better people than you and they were wrong too. What I enjoyed was seeing you running away from an argument about Brexit because you would rather talk about anything else. And I loved the smile being wiped from your face when the young woman tore apart your net zero BS. You’ve not nice suits and nice shoes but you’ve got more chance captaining the Sri Lankan cricket team than you have of becoming Home Secretary.

No taxpayer funding (ref: the Charity Commission for England and Wales) and a relatively small gross income when compared to celebrity favourite Choose Love.

Omg Bash gave his money to CHOOSE LOVE - “for queer refugees and displaced people” - and Romesh donated his to the Refugee Council. The Refugee Council received £41,588,000 from taxpayers between 2021-25 and Choose Love’s total income for 2025 was £12,593,084! They do not need the money. So many small, struggling charities could have done with the help and publicity! #celebritytraitors

Liz Truss, for me. She was ousted because she wouldn't tow the WEF line. Given the chance, she could've become the next MT.

Liz is spot on. The people writing negative comments simply don't have a clue. The plans Liz put together did not go ahead in any way whatsoever. Instead, we got the exact opposite, and we are now in a far worse position. What part of that do people not understand?

It wasn't Brexit. It wasn't the Mini-Budget. It was Blair/Brown and their toxic legacy.
