World’s top climate scientists expect global heating to blast past 1.5C target. A chilling report but inevitable unless a massive change by world leaders.unlikely I think! theguardian.com/environment/…
I stay at the summit for a little longer, soaking in the view and enjoying the peace and quiet. The sun is starting to move toward the middle of the sky, and I know I should head back down soon, before it gets too hot. I stand u

Trees can’t shelter birds from the extreme hail & lightning storms hitting Europe right now, let alone the tornados. Seeing so many such photos and videos. Man I could cry for what we are doing to our world & its wildlife.

The MOST IMPORTANT ARTICLE of the year on "climate"
"This massive lie can best be summed up as 'when it comes to climate change... we have more time.'"
And this is why revolution is the only option we have - it is not a matter of politics, it's a matter of physics. Because we are out of time.

35 days above 30°C this summer. Our climate has fundamentally changed.
Some, including some MPs 🤯, still say this is just like 1976.
It's not. This isn't a heatwave we're passing through. It's the new norm we now live with.

I’ll keep pushing Sadiq Khan.
Hopefully he’ll keep pushing Andy Burnham.
But frankly, we’re about to have another heatwave, it’s ridiculous we’re still having this conversation.
Stop Rosebank & Jackdaw.
Leave fossil fuels in the ground.
Invest in renewables.
Lower bills.

Climate denial is getting louder. Reality is getting harder to ignore.
When parks are brown, rivers are shrinking and firefighters are battling blazes across the globe, governments must accelerate climate action, not slow it down.

This is such a shame, but totally understandable. Glen has been a great advocate for climate & nature friendly farming locally, he genuinely understands the trouble we are in & has done his best to provide solutions even whilst those in power refuse to listen.

The saplings we got from the Woodland Trust were probably the tiniest & most feeble of all the suppliers we tried and we lost hundreds in the drought of 2022. Some of the survivors are doing OK with no watering though, maybe drought hardened by that baptism of fire!

Every non Reform voter in Clacton needs to vote for one being
Farage only got 46% of the vote last time - he can be beaten - and that result would live in the memory for decades

On Friday, I hosted a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing in Diss. It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and discuss the action needed. The film lays bare the stark realities of the climate and nature emergency which are not adequately covered in the media. It also shows there are many positive actions we can take to reduce the impact. What we need now is action, at every level, to make our communities as resilient as possible.
Everyone should see this film, and I am supporting calls for a prime-time televised national screening.
Reform chief Nigel Farage trousers £270,000 for 12 hours' work promoting gold bullion mirror.co.uk/news/politics/n… this can’t be right when he’s hardly in the HOC and doesn’t appear in his constituency that often for his paltry £90,000+

100%. What frustrates me is things are barrelling faster and faster downhill yet every time there is a milder year we get the "see, it's just the weather" brigade trotting out again. Feels like we are so, so, screwed

🚨Breaking: Scientists say this current heatwave is the worst ever in Europe, impossible without climate change, impossible without the constant 100,000,000 tons of carbon dioxide we emit into the atmosphere daily from burning fossil fuels.
Everyone needs to wake the hell up and educate themselves and their friends and family.
And be aware that the people talking shit under this post are either fossil fuel industry bots or idiots who care more about their political ideology than their children’s safety, people who don’t care enough about their families to even watch a documentary about how they’re being manipulated.
