Glaring Lack Of Investment In Aircraft Shelters Highlighted By B-1B’s Sudden Retreat From U.K. Airbase
At this point, it could take a disaster for the USAF to invest in giving its prized assets sitting on flightlines physical cover from drone attacks.

Could NASA’s SR-71 Blackbird Be Modified To Reach Mach 4?
The SR-71’s airframe is capable of going beyond its known top speed and NASA may have good reason to push its limits via new engines.

When the US Navy 🇺🇸 gets into deep trouble, they call the Dutch 🇳🇱.
Still not sure why we have a roughly $1 trillion in navy ships, yet no heavy lift semi-subs when they’ve proven their usefulness many times.

Over 25,000 pounds of cocaine. Four vessels in international waters off Central America.
USCGC Tampa’s (WMEC 902) boarding team and embarked aircrew interdicted a go-fast vessel hauling 6,800 pounds of cocaine.
Four days later, they interdicted two more vessels carrying a combined 15,000 pounds of cocaine.
The next day: Another go-fast vessel. Another 3,400+ pounds of cocaine seized.
Approximately 9.5 million potentially deadly doses never reached American communities.
A new milestone for Operation Pacific Viper: over 262,000 pounds of cocaine seized in the Eastern Pacific.

Wow. Placement, access, and a free pass (well, $180k) for the RIS to the son and immediate family of the leader of the free world is beyond unacceptable, from a CI perspective. Plus, every cell phone at that island wedding party has now been compromised. Get a new one.

I encourage using words like “whence” and “forthwith” in everyday life, not to sound pretentious but because language is fun and it adds a touch of surrealism and whimsy to the other person’s day. How dull life would be if everyone felt pressured to speak in the same basic way.
Seems like the kind of development of which Interested Seafaring Powers might want to take note

This is a pretty stunning admission by the Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao, whose nomination is hung up in Congress, about how Iranian forces “blew the hell out of (US Navy’s 5th Fleet base in) Bahrain.” Haven’t heard a senior US official admit this on the record until now. See Epoch Times interview with Cao below.
In an exclusive interview, Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao told me that Iranian forces "blew the hell out of Bahrain."
While open-source analyses have long indicated that the U.S. Fifth Fleet Headquarters at Naval Support Activity Bahrain sustained extensive damage in the early days of the Iran conflict, Cao's comment represents a direct and high-level acknowledgment of the matter.
This comment came up as Cao and I discussed a range of issues the Department of the Navy faces and how he's addressing them. President Donald Trump recently nominated Cao to serve as the full-time Secretary of the Navy. Cao awaits consideration before the Senate.
As I asked about the USS Abraham Lincoln's recent deployment, overall fleet operational tempo, and the logistical support it takes to sustain high-intensity operations, Cao acknowledged damage to NSA Bahrain left the Lincoln's crew "no place for them to pull in."
There's ongoing debate as to whether U.S. forces should reoccupy and repair their various bases across the Middle East once this Iran conflict has concluded, or whether these installations represent an outdated model for force projection in the region.
I asked whether a return to NSA Bahrain would be necessary to sustain strenuous deployments like the kind the Lincoln's crew just saw. Cao said, "I have a task force that's looking at that."
