ALT The COVID-19 crisis is exacerbating pre-existing racial and structural inequalities in our society with far-reaching consequences. Due to stigma, stereotypes and racial discrimination, persons with a race minority background (particularly persons with African, Middle Eastern and Asian descent), asylum seekers, undocumented people, and Roma are encountering additional challenges during this crisis.
ALT We must ensure the obstacles of racism and racial discrimination are finally lifted in our societies, through strong political action, resilience and solidarity, particularly in these times of instability.
