Replying to @AdamKinzinger
Information warfare is Russia's most effective weapon. These are some of the highest ROI strikes Ukraine could have achieved.

"Russia invaded Ukraine. The first country to surrender was the United States." (Michael MacKay) There are nine thousand American graves above Omaha Beach, and Europeans still bring their children there to explain what courage looks like. A whole generation of us grew up believing that was who America was, the country that crossed an ocean to face a dictator and later stood in Berlin and told Moscow to tear down its wall. This weekend that same country asked Moscow for diesel, and threatened to cut off the weapons Ukraine fights with unless it stopped hitting Russian refineries. It is a sad thing to watch, and it must be sadder still for Americans, whichever way they vote. The men in those graves earned a pride that cannot be inherited, only kept or lost. Today the home of the brave is in Ukraine.

Trump announces an energy ceasefire. Ukrainians learn about it from social media. Immediately, there are more Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. The president lives in a fantasy world of his own construction
IMPORTANT ‼️ RUSSIA IS BOMBING KHARKIV'S TERMINAL POWER PLANT 5 RIGHT NOW ‼️ There was several missile strikes already during the last 15 minutes. Trump’s ceasefire didn't work.

Negotiations to end the war in Ukraine "have expanded to include a multibillion-dollar oil deal that would benefit Middle Eastern business executives with ties to the two main U.S. negotiators, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner" reports @nytimes nytimes.com/2026/10/03/us/po…

How Russian propaganda works abroad, in one sentence per layer: For the right: "Russia defends tradition." For the left: "NATO caused this." For the pacifist: "Weapons prolong war." For the cynic: "Everyone lies equally." For the tired: "It's complicated." Five contradictory messages, one output: do nothing. Russian propaganda doesn't need you to love Moscow. It needs you paralyzed — and it has a script for whichever ideology you brought to the table. Whenever a take ends in "therefore, inaction," check the return address.

So incredibly heartbreaking. We abandoned them. Even the Afghans who came to the US because they helped during our time there are now being deported by Trump. “The harsh restrictions on women and girls are a return to conditions that prevailed the previous time the Taliban controlled Afghanistan, in the late 1990s. More than 160 decrees have been issued targeting women and girls, barring them from secondary and higher education and restricting their employment, movement, dress, speech and decision-making. “No other country in modern times has dismantled the rights of half its population through law, policy and practice to the same extent,” the United Nations agency on women said on Wednesday. “At the same time, overlapping humanitarian and economic crises and deepening poverty are also having a disproportionate impact on women and girls.”” nytimes.com/2026/08/13/world…

Today (15 August) marks 1,792 days since secondary schools closed to girls in Afghanistan. I've spent almost two decades reporting from Afghanistan - the only country in the world where girls are systematically denied an education. With the help of @RukhshanaMedia, we heard from girls who are unable to work, study and live the same lives enjoyed by millions of other girls around the world. These are their stories. #Afghanistan #LetAfghanGirlsLearn #fiveyearslater  #humanrights

Fun Fact: RFK Jr. and Donald Trump are in the Epstein files. Anthony Fauci is not.

United & Delta donated $1M → Trump ended flight cancelation compensation rules. TurboTax parent donated $1M → Trump killed free tax filing. Toyota donated $1M → Trump canceled CFPB refund order for overcharged borrowers. It’s a pattern of corruption that costs you money.

Saw The Odyssey in IMAX 70mm As many know, I value cinematic accuracy. Some complain about its “Woke” casting. But Christopher Nolan’s choice to have actors speak English rather than authentic Ancient Greek in original dactylic hexameter is what I found to be most incredulous.

Meet Bruce Taylor, of Taylor Farms. This man makes huge contributions to Trump so his lettuce is never inspected. So far, this man has given us E. coli, and cyclospora. He does NOT allow his lettuce pickers to take bathroom breaks. Kroger brand lettuce is actually Taylor’s.

Trump: "Biden gave $350 billion to Ukraine. This was insane. It’s one of the reasons the war went on." U.S. aid to Ukraine is not the reason the war continues. It continues because Russia invaded Ukraine and, every day, makes a conscious choice to keep waging war. If they all go home, we won't follow, you know? If he means that without U.S. help, especially in the beginning, much more Ukrainian territory would have been occupied and turned into one gigantic Bucha, then yes, he's probably right. But occupation doesn't end war, it merely masks war crimes and silences the victims.

Shame on us. I think of the brave Afghans that stood alongside us against the Taliban, especially those I worked with personally during my four years in command of the NATO mission there. It is incomprehensible to me that we would not bring them here to the United States, fulfilling the most fundamental obligations of trust and honor. nytimes.com/2026/04/21/world…

Putin has renamed FSB’s academy back to Dzerzhinsky academy. Polish/Russian revolutionary Felix Dzerzhinsky was the founder of Cheka and the father of Red Terror. The glorification of totalitarian ideology and its genocidal icons proceeds in parallel on both sides of the Russo-Ukrainian war, with intelligence agencies as the main driving force behind the effort. Whitewashing and increasingly vocal support of totalitarianism in its multiple forms is a trademark feature of modern corporate culture in securocratic circles.

Sending condolences to the family of Robert Mueller. A combat veteran and patriot who served our country and stood for the values we all share as Americans. Rest in peace.
