Richard Nixon called me today. We spoke for about 20 minutes. He was in good spirits. I mentioned Argentina's big comeback against Egypt today; he said he never met Perón but had spent a lot of time with Sadat. Said he couldn’t believe all the shit Trump is getting away with, and that if Trump was going to go for a third term, maybe he should run again too. I said that would go a long way to restoring at least some integrity in government, and that I'd do anything I could to help.

I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.

Make no mistake about it: Trump wasn’t just diagnosed with CVI, a serious condition that can lead to heart failure. Visible leg swelling means he’s already at Stage 3, not the beginning. He likely knew for months, probably even before the election, and only disclosed it now because the symptoms became impossible to hide.
Trump must release all his medical records now.
