Today is the day of I Quattro Coronati (the Four Crowned Ones) -Castorius, Simforianus, Claudius and Nicostratos- Saint patrons of stone carvers and masons, they endured duress under Diocletian for refusing to sculpt pagan deities.

👉An example on why building more housing doesn't bring down housing/rent price 👈
And that's what I was saying, that housing price is less and less influenced by demand/supply dynamic and more and more by financial dynamics, since the housing (in the West) is a speculative asset. And a speculative asset doesn't have to be qualitatively built.

Some people in the comments: «wE hAvE t0 BuiLd m0R€!»
The average new-build property has 130 defects, according to specialist inspection company HomeSnag. I visited one with Tom Britton and his team to find out why so many of Britain's shiny new homes are scarcely fit for purpose. Read: telegraph.co.uk/money/proper… Credit: @HomeSnag

There is Italy A and Italy B. Foreigners associate Italy with Italy A (15%). Art, classical beauty, refined cuisine, high fashion, opera, historic architecture, elegance, etc. But there is Italy B too (85%). Loud, chaotic, kitsch, vulgarly explicit, and also kind of of 3rd-world.

Mio programma politico: riportare l'Italia al suo idilliaco stato agricolo pastorale arcaico feudale (però senza spagnoli tra i maroni) e ci aggiungo pure patriarcale.
Replying to @PonziAwaken
Una simile risposta dimostra che l'Italia è paese da cui scappare, società agricolo pastorale arcaica feudale rimasta al tempo di don Rodrigo e del marchese del grillo

But yea, keep going, motherfuckers.
Wow. There it goes. The tower roof of the 143-year-old Limoges Town Hall collapses.

X marking the work of Philip Gaches as AI-generated: extremely outrageous or a compliment?
Today we have completed this brand new Jacobean ceiling in a private house in Essex.

Mamdani’s scheme to give away “free” tickets to the opera, obviously in a crude effort to flatten class differences and because opera is viewed as something white-coded, something very much non-black and non-Indian, actually just shines a light on how non-elitist such institutions are. Among philistines on the left (of which Mamdani is one—the history of silver-spoon Indian rappers is a slim volume), there’s an assumption that “the opera” or “classical music” must be so prohibitively expensive that there are millions of impoverished black and Hispanic New Yorkers longing to walk the hallowed halls of the Met and perhaps hear Wagner’s Ring Cycle, far from the crushing banality of life in the bodega. But the truth is that a ticket to the Met costs just $25, while the cheapest tickets to see Beyoncé cost three times as much. If they had any genuine interest in opera before this stunt they might have known how affordable it is.

I push "share". Nothing gets shared. Strange. Let's try by quoting the tweet.

We have a new malthusian joke from our favourite ""socialist"" hater: (the exception is of course, what he says can become true if I dump -say- 500.000 somalis in your neighbourhood)

Oh well then I have to reply point by point! 1) corner plots are the most prestigious, is there a reason why garages have been placed right there subtracting precious real estate m²?
I disagree with your assessment and think this would work great. I’ll expand below point by point.

Or this one: family houses + 4/5 storeys flats, everyone with private garden: flats suffer a bit because only the ground floor enjoys it BUT NO PROBLEM because the block is open and allows for public space to flow in

In public spaces you can BBQ at the provided area smoke a cig play ball sing songs and make noise within the legal hours etc and no one can tell you "that's my garden too, stop because I am napping" The Importance Of Gradients
