Junior is a gorgeous 10 month old Staffy cross English Bull terrier. His mum was a full staffy and his dad half English Bull Terrier. He is a blue colour. Junior is needing a new home through no fault of his own. His owner absolutely adores him however as his work has now changed, it means Junior is left on his own for long periods of time. He can be left on his own, but does love people and would like someone who can spend lots of time with him on walks and giving him attention. Junior has always lived with kids and loves them. He attends doggy day care and is good with other dogs and new humans. He has never been around cats. He is such a lover to people and adores humans. Junior is chipped and healthy with no medical issues. He eats kibble and wainwrights from Pets at Home and loves the green lamb and rice variety. Junior is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night. He can be strong on the lead, this may need a bit more work. He travels okay in the car, its not his favourite but he is ok. Junior loves treats and is motivated by treats. He is great meeting new people and has lots of energy. His recall is good but may need a bit more work. Could you offer this lovely lad a new home? If so, please email a bit about yourself to [email protected]

Sadly Cher's previous offer of a home fell through. She was however a good girl today at the vets and got all her vaccinations up dated. She is now ready to find a new home. Meet Cher 📷 Cher is a beautiful 4-year-old crossbreed (Old English Bulldog × Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso) looking for a calm, understanding home where she can truly thrive. Cher is an incredibly affectionate little dog who absolutely loves nothing more than cuddling up with her favourite people. She’s happiest snuggled beside you on the sofa or curled up in bed at night, and she forms strong bonds with the people she trusts. She also enjoys soft toys (although they don’t usually last very long!), tasty treats, and showing off her tricks. She knows sit, paw, other paw, high five and “knuckles” – especially if a treat is involved! Cher enjoys her dry food and likes a bit of variety every now and then, although she’s currently enjoying Wagg. Wet food doesn’t agree with her stomach, so she sticks to dry kibble. Cher has always been an anxious dog, and sadly this anxiety has recently led to redirected aggression towards another dog in the household. After a great deal of thought, the heartbreaking decision that finding her the right home is the kindest and safest option for everyone involved. She has lived with children and has always been gentle and affectionate with them and their friends once she has had time to settle. However, she does become much more anxious around very young children and toddlers, often becoming tense and uncomfortable. Because of this, we feel Cher would be happiest in an adult-only home, or one with older, sensible teenagers who understand when she needs space. Cher has lived with other dogs throughout her life but can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs, and due to her recent behaviour we believe she would do best as the only pet in the home. She isn’t a fan of cats. She walks reasonably well on a lead, although she can pull at times. She’s a little nervous travelling in the car but copes with reassurance. She doesn’t enjoy baths or water, and while she’s happy to be brushed, grooming can make her anxious, so patience and gentle handling are important. Cher is microchipped and has no known medical conditions. Cher is looking for a patient, experienced owner who understands anxious dogs and can offer her a calm, predictable environment where she can relax and feel secure. A single person or adult couple would be an ideal match. In the right home, Cher has so much love to give and will reward you with endless affection, loyalty and companionship. This decision has not been made lightly, and finding the right forever home for Cher is our absolute priority. For more information please email [email protected]

We’ve not had any enquiries for Maisie, can you please share to help her on her way? We're supporting the owner/family of Maisie. Maisie's owner is moving into a hospice due to illness and Maisie is looking for a home. She is 14 years old. Maisie would be best in a quiet home with no other pets or children. She is chipped and spayed. Maisie is healthy with no medical problems. She would like a garden to lie in as she enjoys the sunshine. We think Maisie would make a great companion for someone who is on their own or a couple with a quiet home. Maisie uses a litter tray and likes her treats. She sleeps in her own bed or on the sofa. Maisie is happy to be left alone. She has a carry box and eats Gourmet Mon Petit, Fresh n Fine, Gourmet Perle sachets and does like the cat lick sticks. We’re really really struggling to find Jake a home, we knew it wouldn’t be easy, but it’s not impossible. If everyone who sees his post can share, the power of sharing really does make a difference. Let’s help Jake have a better life. Jake is a 6 year old Bearded collie x Boarder Collie. Jake is a product of his environment. He lived in home with two elderly owners, and has grown up with both of them going through the various stages of dementia. Other than walk and feed Jake, both owners had no idea of how to train or look after a dog. As a result he has had a stressful life to date, and at times has suffered physical abuse as a method of control. This shows in his behaviour, (nervous, defensive and will attack if feels threatened). Training has been at a basic level, house trained and walking on the lead. Jake gets nervous of noise, phones ,hoovers etc. This will lead to excessive barking and with hoovers he will attack them. In the late evening he will start barking for no good reason. Probably this is related to his owners health condition as dementia sufferers symptoms get worse later in the day. That sums up Jake’s bad points. Outside Jake is a different dog. He no longer pulls on the lead when walking, takes a command to wait and is more comfortable with passing vehicles. Small fast cars are still a slight issue. He is no problem when he meets people outside and will lie down should a conversation take place. Most times he is fine meeting other dogs. The exception is if another dog gets aggressive. He will respond. He does not like cats! It should be noted that Jake is also ok with people coming into the house. He loves to run and fetch a ball. He will happily play outside all day if someone is throwing a ball. Currently this is done on a long rope lead as his play area is not fully enclosed. Jake requires a quiet home with owners who understand the breed, and can continue to improve his issues. He is not ready ( and may never be) for a house with young children. He needs his space to regain the trust that a raised voice or hand is not a threat. Over the past 6 weeks there has been an improvement in his behaviour. That said there is still a way to go before he becomes the dog he can and should be. Jake has a diet of dry food mixed with a small sachet of wet food. In addition to this he does get treats, which he enjoys, as a reward. From the limited experience with Jake he has been ok in the car. Jake has and has always had a large cage that he goes into if left alone. He also sleeps in it at night. He is fit and healthy. For anymore information please email [email protected]
