My mistakenly slept with my son😪 After what happened during our first encounter, I kept wondering how things would unfold between us. A week passed, and neither of us openly discussed what had happened. One evening, while we were having dinner and watching television, I noticed that he seemed unusually nervous. He kept looking in my direction as though he wanted to say something but couldn't find the right words. Eventually, he turned to me. "Mom, can we talk about what happened last time?" I switched off the television and looked at him. "What exactly do you want to talk about?" He lowered his head. "You know what I mean." For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then he asked a question that made me realize just how deeply our family boundaries had been broken. "Mom, does this mean things will never be normal between us again?" I had no answer. That was when the reality of the situation finally hit me. Something that should never have happened had changed the way we related to each other. He stood up, walked towards his room, and quietly said: "I wish we could go back to how things were before." I remained on the couch, realizing that keeping this secret would only make matters worse. The following morning, I knew I had to make a difficult decision. I needed to acknowledge what had happened, stop the inappropriate behaviour, and seek professional help. But there was one question I couldn't get out of my mind: How do you rebuild a relationship after the very person who was supposed to protect you has crossed the most important boundary?
