PENDING ASYLUM CLAIM - IN REMOVAL PROCEEDINGS A 21-year-old South African who arrived in the United States as a teenager in 2019 is serving as a Wisconsin State Trooper. Carel Aaron Van Der Merwe came with his family on a visa, and they filed for asylum. He is included on his father’s pending application, which has been waiting nearly seven years. He holds federal work authorization valid until 2030, has no criminal record, and has worked for the Wisconsin State Patrol since July 2025 out of the Tomah office while living in Onalaska. On November 5, while at Dane County Regional Airport in Madison preparing to board a domestic flight to visit family in New Mexico, ICE agents detained him after he went through security. According to his attorney, he explained his work permit and pending asylum case. Agents handcuffed and shackled him and took him to the Dodge Detention Facility. DHS described it as a targeted enforcement operation and stated that his original admission period had expired in 2019 and that work authorization does not itself confer legal status. His attorney, Marc Christopher said, “When you have somebody who has done everything absolutely correct; they enter the United States lawfully, they lawfully filed their asylum application, they lawfully applied for a work permit, they’re lawfully waiting for their asylum interview, for them to be detained after all of this time is, in my mind, unconscionable.” He was released the following day under an order of supervision after U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden contacted DHS leadership. The family’s asylum case remains pending, and he continues in removal proceedings while serving as a trooper. Cases like this underscore the value of clearing long-pending asylum applications for South Africans who entered lawfully, have work authorization, and are already contributing as law enforcement officers, particularly given President Trump’s emphasis on prioritizing South African refugee and asylum claims.

Tucker Carlson attacking Scott Presler is a new kind of low. Nobody worked harder for the Republican Party than Scott. I loathe this hateful turncoat.

Sweetheart? WHY are you winding me up? As as been proven -- looks at Hollywood and trad pub -- no, liberals are not better at art. Some might have some talent, but their rigid philosophy torpedoes that. Creativity CANNOT and should never be straightjacketed by ideology. It castrates art. BUT not just being lefty to enter the fields, but being willing to signal far left and prostitute your muse to the latest lefty obsession has been the price to stay "employed" in art. No one who hasn't worked in the fields knows how ridiculously tight the political color bar is. Just refusing to speak of politics makes them assume you're on the right and torpedo you. So, as with this "election" trying to figure out rates of creativity in different political persuasions is impossible, because the data is vitiated. Speaking of, the idea that leftists are more creative is hilarious in the current day, because to be a leftist you need to be a good boy or girl, who repeats back what teach says. Meanwhile to be to the right of Lenin, since MY DAY (and I grant you that might be because of where I grew up, but still!) you had to come to your own conclusions, hold up middle fingers to what you were told, and form your own ideas of the world. OF COURSE the non-conformists are going to be more creative! Now some will be so "creative" they lack the discipline to produce viable art, but still, the pool is richer (and deeper) on our side, by virtue of how they got to be on our side. "Conservative" and "liberal" are such misnomers in our day they might be inverted. Yeah, "Conservatives" respect history more, but not the structures of the last 100 years, which are almost infallibly leftist.

Now look at what their own planning document says about Hegseth. The "Democracy Playbook 2025" — the same document that teaches "dealing with security forces" and color revolution case studies — cites this in footnote 49: "Pete Hegseth had been flagged by fellow service member as possible 'Insider Threat'" — AP, November 15, 2024. 72 hours after his nomination. In a regime change manual.

Senator John Fetterman responds to El-Sayed attacking his appearance, calling him an "ogre on a pike." "I never worked out in male modeling. Call me Senator Shrek. Whatever! This guy is really the Pontiac Platner!" "And now he's running to be the head of our emerging pro-Hamas wing here in the party!" "Some of the things that he's done or said are unacceptable to me." "I'm not really sure what I've really done or voted for that has offended the little guy so much." "These same people like Bernie Sanders...created that Platner disaster!" "He has no regrets...? Supporting an accused racist...a guy with a Nazi tattoo on his chest...roughed up his ex girlfriends." "There's a level of arrogance and they believe they feel like they have some weird mandate!"

DR is absolutely right. @GOP wake the F up & pay attention! Get rid of the RINOs & create a deep bench... assuming y'all actually want to WIN elections, of course.

Here's another truth. As far as I can tell, the majority of the Administration is just interested in fighting over who defines the Republican party after Trump and seizing the narrative ground post-midterms. A lot of behind-the-scenes infighting is about this. All the while Democrats are hellbent on "structural reform" and "accountability" which is a nice way of saying they intend to tear down our Republic and jail us. Republicans need to wake up. There will be no Republican party left to lead if you are fighting each other over who inherits it, while the Democrats dismantle our country. Start defending our nation instead. Stop the coup.

No, I don't think we've been clear on that at all. I'm clear on the "I won't tolerate scams and fraud" platform. I'm clear on the "You will not import caste discriminatory bullshit into my country" platform. I'm clear on the "You will not pollute our lakes and rivers, whether for religious reasons or because you're used to throwing trash on the ground" platform. I'm clear on the "You will piss and shit in toilets, not the forest" platform. I'm clear on the "You don't get to demand that Americans accommodate practices that violate our laws or fundamental principles" platform. And I'm perfectly comfortable criticizing cultural traditions I consider harmful, backward, or incompatible with American values. But a "no Indians" platform? Absolutely not. That's where you lose me. I don't give a damn about someone's ancestry. I care about their conduct, their values, and their willingness to respect the country they've chosen to make their home. If someone comes here, embraces American civic values, respects our laws, treats their neighbors as equals, and contributes to our society, why on Earth would I reject them for being Indian? Conversely, if someone comes here and practices caste discrimination, commits fraud, hates Americans and discriminates agaisnt them for hiring, or insists that their traditions exempt them from the standards everyone else must follow, I'm going to have a problem with that. I'd have exactly the same problem with an American-born citizen doing those things. Or any other immigrant group. My objection is to behavior and particular cultural practices, not bloodlines. I refuse to pretend every cultural practice is equally admirable. Some deserve criticism. Some deserve rejection. Many have absolutely no place in American society. An individual's ethnicity tells me nothing about whether that person embraces those practices. If your position is that certain behaviors are unacceptable, we have something to discuss. If your position is that people are unacceptable simply because they're Indian, then we have a fundamental disagreement. I believe in judging people by what they do and what they stand for, not what their ancestors looked like. That's a distinction I'm not willing to surrender.

🚨 Trump's economic revolution is staggering - and I had TDS for 7 years. Biased, corrupt media never covered these wins. ✅ GDP grew 3.4% in Q3, beating forecasts and up from 2.2% in Q2 ✅ The Atlanta Fed expects 3.4% growth again in Q4 ✅ Business investment is up 9.4%, the biggest jump since 2020 ✅ Consumer spending is up 3.8% ✅ Layoffs are near record lows, with weekly jobless claims at just 194,000 ✅ Consumer confidence jumped 7.5 points in October ✅ Poverty has hit a record low ✅ Median income is the highest on record ✅ Citizens rather than non-citizens are getting more of the new jobs ✅ Mass immigration has stopped ✅ Violent crime posted its largest annual drop, and the murder rate is tying a multi-decade low ✅ Tax fraud, waste and abuse are ending ✅ MAHA is delivering real change, lower prices and fixing the system Election integrity, tried hard pass The Save America Act. Only to be thwarted by RINOs. 🪙 Trump's Golden Age: 🏭 For the first time in 26 years, the U.S. outproduces Japan in steel 🏗️ The first new U.S. iron ore mine in 50 years, feeding a planned $15 billion Iowa steel mill 🔩 The first new primary aluminum smelter in 50 years, in Oklahoma, which will double U.S. primary capacity once online 🚜 The first U.S.-assembled Volvo excavators are rolling out of Pennsylvania, and John Deere is moving excavator production home 🌾 Potash was named a critical mineral, with a $1.26 billion DOE loan commitment for a new Michigan mine and a USDA-backed Utah project 🧲 Rare earth magnets at scale for the first time in a generation, with a $1.2 billion South Carolina plant breaking ground 💎 Critical minerals reshored, ending 100% import dependence on 15 strategic minerals 🖥️ The first ever complete AI chip supply chain 📈 Manufacturing construction starts are up 20.2% 🔧 Machine-tool orders are up about 37% year to date, the strongest first half since the series began in 1998 🏭 The manufacturing PMI is the strongest since 2022 💰 $18 trillion pledged to restore America's ability to produce at home 🛢️ U.S. oil output tops Saudi Arabia and Russia ⚡ Power plant builds are up 68.5% 🔼 10 new LNG terminals will double export capacity by 2030 ⚛️ 10 new AP1000 nuclear reactors ☢️ Nuclear goes from 100 to 400 GW, quadrupling nuclear power by 2050, with restarts underway in PA, MI and CA Look at Brent crude & WTI after the midterms. Both are already down nearly 10%. Obvious Trump was being intentionally sabotaged with Brent crude (City of London financial elites) and gas prices. I'll take this trajectory over what we had and will have with Democrats. Every. Single. Day. Pass the SAVE America Act.

I am totally down with the Stephen Miller pick. Miller is exactly the sort of take-no-prisoners man we need backing up Trump for the next two years. Miller's #1 priority will be achieving the MAGA agenda. He won't care what people say about him. He won't try to be some sort of self-serving Machiavelli, he'll be true to Trump and his agenda. He won't play around with quid pro quo, sell-out deals that do nothing other than advance the personal interests of third parties who never had Trump's back. He'll be ruthlessly efficient. He'll do it out in the open, not in backdoor deals that sell the electorate down the tubes. He's what we need right now. He's a wartime consigliere. Stand. Fight. Defend the Republic.

RE: The Iran War & the Midterms We all agree that Trump knew the Iran War would tank the midterms. Does anyone disagree? I did not think so. So, since we all stipulate to the above fact, that leaves really only two possible explanations for the war: 1. Trump thought indulging a bunch of neocon advisors on a wholly questionable useless, endless war was worth tanking the midterms. -or- 2. The intel that Trump had at hand was so compelling that it represented an existential threat to humanity and he had to choose between saving humanity and winning the midterms. (Remember, the Iranian mullahs want nukes so they can use them to precipitate Armageddon and the Twelfth Imam will then miraculously arise from a well in Qom and forcibly unify what is left of humanity under the banner of Shia Islam. These are not rational people.) I voted for Trump three times because I trust his judgment. I don't think his judgment turned to crap overnight. I believe history will eventually record that Donald Trump made one of the bravest, most selfless decisions that any world leader has ever made, and history will also record the people who think the accurate narrative is actually #1 above as being complete doofuses.
