Anyone who still seriously engages with "trans women in sports" arguments is a useful idiot at best

what really gets me about this image and its variations isn't the argument being made, it's that thousands whole-heartedly sign up for this framing that asks you to imagine yourself directing the train to crush Palestinians. it actually resonates with people.

"i don't care if you think we're evil" is very telling because of course only a person who cares would say this. on some level they understand being racist is dishonorable and bristle at the accusation despite not substantively disagreeing about the contents of their beliefs.

i always find it funny when conservatives insert themselves into disagreements between leftists and liberals because they obviously don't respect the terms of the debate at all (i.e. the belief that we ought to make life better for everyone) but it speaks to a certain anxiety-

that they might be left behind and excluded by people who take for granted that they are wrong. (u also see this when terfs insert themselves into disagreements between trans ppl to just lamely reassert that sex is real)

he's kinda growing on me after some constructed play. not really the big splashy card I expected but efficient and powerful. does feel a lot like slamming the mind sculptor on 4.

id be super into trying this deck if you didnt have to play spiderman. reanimating ajani seems so cool. rip kavaero taken from us too soon (i genuinely might have been okay with that level of plausible deniability)

was looking for random pioneer buildarounds and its kind of crazy how undertuned this guy is on so many levels despite being a cool card in theory. just genuinely unusable

like he doesnt even draw a card on etb it goes to top of deck then when he flips its a 3/5 which is just underwhelming enough to not really be a threat on its own but it can make another guy except that guy has to ALSO be attacking you cant just play it the turn you flip him

Was watching the el sayed 60 minutes interview and ross douthat brings up "millions of illegals" during the Biden admin and he just has nothing. straight up nothing. yeah it's bad that lots of people are coming here even though I can't point to any specific negative outcome

There's also a huge bipartisan consensus on immigration that's arguably even more pernicious than the Israel bullshit

it's a "failure of border policy" that I to see Mexicans existing, because I've made some vague connection in my head between a bad interaction w/ someone who couldn't speak English and the fact that I can't find a job and now it's everyone else's problem

And you can't even say anything about this if you're a Democrat you just have to be like "it's mean to deport people but you should never ever let them in"

I mean it's cool and all but don't let it trick you into believing the US public like trans people and foreigners now

And anti-trans propositions on the ballot succeeded in spite of the success of Dems. Turek also won pretty convincingly. It seems like they can't effectively be used as a wedge issue against Dems but actually fighting for the rights of trans ppl will be an uphill battle
