India's retirement money may soon invest in startups.
EPFO is considering putting up to 3% of fresh investments into AIFs with potential exposure to PE and startups.
FDs → mutual funds
PF → equities
Now potentially PF → private markets
India is changing what "saving" means
Eternal just launched a credit card with SBI.
Just 5k cards in the first release.
10% off Zomato.
5–10% off Blinkit.
10% off District.
5% back on Uber, ixigo, Urban Company & Apollo 24/7.
This isn’t really a Zomato card.
Credit cards are becoming memberships for how you live
85% of ICICI's credit-card portfolio is salaried; ~70% are existing customers.
Meanwhile, they're exiting riskier card segments.
Banks don't lack customers, they're short of confidence in those they can't easily underwrite.
The next cc breakthrough will be alternative u/w.
Created aimathtutor.in/ last year as a hobby project. Zero promotion. Hadn't checked back how it was doing for the past 6 mnths due to personal challenges.
Checked today fully expecting supabase to have shut it down due to inactivity. Guess what, it's being used daily.
A remarkable thing happened while mrkts fell 6% in Sep
Indians invested:
₹38KCr in equity MFs
₹32KCr in SIPs - an all-time high
₹9KCr in small-caps - a record
Equity funds have now seen inflows for 67 straight mnths
This generation is learning not to fear but to buy the dip
Foreign investors are selling India
₹3LCr+ withdrawn this year
Meanwhile, Indians keep buying
₹76KCr of DII in Sep alone
SIPs are at a record ₹32KCr/m
For decades, we worried about what foreign investors thought of India. Now, Indian savers are the market's biggest believers.
Hey @Uppolice your website is really really bad. I can help you fix this for free. Just say the word.
India will add 17M+ high-income households by 2030.
MC just launched a new premium card tier for them.
What's interesting is the benefits:
Hotels.
Dining.
Airport fast-track.
Travel insurance.
Premium credit card is becoming less about how you pay. And more about how you live.
India still thinks of a “stable career” as a salary.
Meanwhile, YouTubers contributed ₹18,000Cr+ to GDP and supported 9.6L jobs last year.
73% of monetising creators say YT is their primary income.
Channels earning ₹1L+ grew 30%+ YoY.
At what point do we call it mainstream?
India’s retail investor is becoming DIY.
Direct mf assets have grown 4x in 5 yrs.
Direct plans now make up 36.7% of retail MF, up from 21.4%.
In FY26, they added 25.2M accounts vs 14.2M for regular plans.
Interesting shift from trusting a distributor to trusting yourself.
UPI was built to make payments free.
Now India is asking who should pay for the rails.
P2P stays free. Transactions up to ₹2,000 stay protected. But higher-value merchant payments could carry MDR.
Higher value transactions will migrate to credit cards that give good rewards.
SEBI’s new “Demat 2.0” pilot puts corporate bonds on a permissioned blockchain and settles them against the e₹ in one atomic txn.
The interesting part isn’t blockchain. It’s that financial infrastructure is becoming programmable while the user experience stays familiar.
He’s strongly criticising the decision because if this becomes refereeing norm, Arsenal will be the biggest losers.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has strongly criticised the decision to award Sunderland a penalty in his side’s 2-0 victory on Saturday, calling it “unacceptable”.
Despite the penalty save and his side’s victory, Arteta voiced his displeasure with the decision, telling TNT Sports: “(We won but) it could have been something very different. I am so upset.
“(This) is unacceptable. This (decision) can change the course of a season, the championship, and it is not acceptable. I (have) seen it 10 times to make sure, and it’s not possible at this level that it can be a penalty. It just cannot happen.
“In the view of anybody who has played football. I’ve been in football for almost 27 years, 28 years. It is not a penalty in any case, in any game, in any context, in any league. I am so pleased in one sense (with his team) and so worried in another.”

Dr. Pratosh at IISc Bengaluru tells his students that rapid advances in AI are commoditizing intellectual labour.
He raises an unsettling question: if companies stop recruiting on campus in the next 5–10 years—even at India’s top universities—what will the purpose of a university education be ?
A must watch video for everyone in tech

@Swiggy @SwiggyCares I've been trying to sort out a voucher related issue with your team for over a week now but the response received is not top notch. No one replies on the mail. I get DMs on X saying team is "nudged" but that is a rather underwhelming response. @harshamjty
New-to-credit borrowers fell from 32% in 2017 to just 13% in 2026.
That doesn’t mean India’s appetite for credit has disappeared. It means traditional underwriting is finding people it already understands.
next opportunity: credit for people the system doesn’t yet understand.
