Working with @whop has been nothing short of excellence.
I see firsthand how fast this team executes, and how deeply they care about their customers. Day in. Day out. We’re becoming a better platform at @raincards thanks to them. Massively deserved, congrats 🍾
Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify.
It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine.
We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there.
Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day.
Who cares, tiny market.
But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one.
Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people.
My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner.
We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier.
We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly.
The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.
Rain is powering one of the first projects out of BitGo Labs.
@gokubupay pairs a stablecoin-backed card with an AI assistant that analyzes spending, surfaces insights, and helps users make better financial decisions.
Today, BitGo launched BitGo Labs, a research and innovation unit to explore and build the next breakout application for digital assets.
If BitGo is the operating system crypto runs on, Labs is where we build the apps. We’re focused on use cases that only crypto can deliver, and we’re using AI and BitGo APIs to build them in months, not years.
Among BitGo Labs’ first projects is @gokubupay, a consumer application that uses an AI-powered card designed to optimize your spending, accepted wherever Visa is accepted. Gokubu is already live and users can sign up today at gokubu.com.

Why Rain established the Agentic Payments Alliance.
How Rain is thinking about agentic commerce.
There's a lot that needs to be sorted out around consumer-directed agentic behavior.
For example, what happens when you ask an agent to book a nonrefundable dinner reservation and it books ten?
In traditional consumer payments, there are well-defined rules around refunds, merchant disputes, and chargebacks. We haven't yet established equivalent standards for agentic payments.
Can we take lessons from existing consumer protections to design systems that protect people when agents transact on their behalf?
Yes. And the need is immediate. Teams are already going live with agentic solutions on Rain, with more launching every month.
We can't wait for regulators to create these protections. The industry needs to come together to establish standards that regulators can then codify.
That's why we convened the Agentic Payments Alliance, working with Visa, Mastercard, and others to help define the rules of the road.
Whether you're looking to build or help shape industry standards, reach out. We'd love to work with you.

NOW LIVE: AI agents can now pay with @raincards's scoped cards through @oobit, which issues a single-use card for every purchase the user approves.
Brian Alapatt of Rain first demoed scoped cards with us in June, walking through the risk they remove when an agent holds a card.
“If you provide an agent your payment credentials, if you give it a traditional card, there’s some risk involved with that. It might go and spend $10,000 at Home Depot.”
“The solution to that is scoped cards. These are cards that can be issued that have specific parameters tied to them.”

Muse, Grok, Dots, and Instinct agents can now use stablecoin cards.
Rain's scoped cards on @oobit give agents a single-use card for each approved purchase, with spending limits and optional merchant restrictions.

Stablecoins need to work in all the ways people use money today.

Virtual Accounts –> Fund your wallet
Wallets –> Hold your funds
Cards –> Spend anywhere, directly from your wallet
Rewards –> Earn back on spend
Payouts –> Move money globally
The best part? The end user never sees the complexity underneath. A truly unified wallet and card infrastructure is how stablecoins become the primary account.

Rain has now launched Wallet as a Service, leveraging its entire stack to enable anyone to embed cards, accounts, on/off ramps, and payouts directly into any app.
Essentially turning any app into a fintech app.

Entire financial apps can now be built around a single stablecoin balance.
Wallets have mostly just been a place to hold stablecoins. Using that money often meant moving it somewhere else first.
Now with one wallet, you can onramp funds or receive bank transfers that land as stablecoins. You can earn rewards, spend via card, and send money to bank accounts in 50+ currencies.
Rain partners can embed all of these capabilities with a single integration.
Excited to get Rain wallets out into the wild.
