These used to be the big thing in AI
But nowadays I hear nothing anymore about these things
Screen Studio updated itself when I updated MacOS, but now it says I can't use it anymore due to a license I don't own?
I can also not downgrade to a version that my license covers.
Great job, @screenstudio
Does anyone know software where lifetime support means lifetime?
Claude Code's $20/month plan is not worth it
I am about to reach my limit and the next moment I am allowed to use it again is... next Saturday at 11PM?
What am I paying for?
21 lines of code
That's all it requires to extract information from an invoice using the AI SDK by @vercel
1. Create a zod schema that contains the properties you want
2. Generate an object that adheres to the schema you defined in step 1
3. You have a completely type-safe object as a bonus!
> me trying to build a number of SaaS products
> they all make some money, but not what I envisioned
> spend $$$ on marketing, but no tangible returns
2 years later:
> create a Dutch Sinterklaas AI Slop generator in an afternoon
> it generates revenue apparently?
> i have become the thing that I hate.. or have i?
Lessons learned:
- Build a number of small apps, do not overengineer them. Create an MVP fast, iterate on that later (@marclou)
- Focus on solving a problem that people have, talk to your audience. They will tell you all of their pain points in existing products and only then you should build features people actually want (@levelsio)
- Demand-driven development is what brings in volume (@dannypostma). Your solution might be the best engineered product, but without demand it will never generate revenue
Gemini 3 so far:
- Does a great job at one-shotting a complex SVG/image that needs to be interactive. Has a high level of understanding the world
- Understands the Dutch language (in particular: rhyming) much better than GPT or Claude. I am working on a Sinterklaas poem app, and the output is superb
- Pricing-wise I am not sure, without any prompt caching it can become costly
- Seems to be as slow as gpt-codex
Joined @Cloudflare as an intern
Coded all day, my first PR is already merged
Also, I just pushed a change to master that speeds up DNS resolution
I'm excited for the journey ahead!
