We are deeply honored to announce @crossriverbank’s partnership with SBI Holdings and our plan to build a joint venture in Japan.
Kitao-san founded SBI in 1999 and built it into one of Japan’s most remarkable financial groups, a true pioneer of internet finance. It is a privilege to build alongside him. With JPYSC, Japan’s first trust-type yen stablecoin, SBI is leading the way once again.
Together, we look forward to advancing financial inclusion across Japan and Asia-Pacific, starting with cross-border payments, agentic finance and onchain solutions.
Our sincere thanks to Kitao-san and the SBI team for their trust and partnership, and to Pravesh Rijal, Benjamin Samuels, Daniel Listhaus, Hasan Nawaz, Benjamin Melnicki and Arlen Gelbard for making this happen.

The Fed's new headache: An AI boom that turns to bust politi.co/4BwI2uO via @politico
Capital markets moving into the future. One might be surprised by how long this has taken, but too many incentives have kept some from changing it.
If you own a share of stock today via a broker-dealer, you're probably not on the company's books. Cede & Co., which is owned by DTC, is.
Yesterday, Securitize submitted a comment letter to the SEC on DTC's proposal to modernize the Direct Registration System (DRS), the process for moving shares from Cede & Co. to the transfer agent's books and records, and we strongly support it.
DTC wants to cut the time it takes to move shares via DRS into an investor's own name from days to minutes. That matters a lot for tokenization. It's the on-ramp to issuer-sponsored tokens, where the investor is the registered owner of the real security, on-chain. Not an IOU.
In our letter, we asked DTC to take it one step further: let investors move from a DTC token into a directly registered token in a single step. We also asked for published processing times and the same speed in both directions.
Do that, and moving between street name and a directly registered token becomes even faster and simpler, in both directions. Tokenization works best when investors can do so without friction.
Great work by @SecuritizeBilly and our team. Letter below

When the Fed doesn't move tomorrow the US will still have among the highest real policy rates of any of the major central banks in the world--a turnaround from the past when we tended to be on the low end.
Due to a combo of our strong growth & inflationary pressures.
