The Republican mayor of Fort Worth - GOP nominee Bo French's home base - endorses Houston Democrat Jon Rosenthal for Texas Railroad Commissioner #txlege
"Jon Rosenthal is the right choice for Texas Railroad Commissioner. Jon has the experience, proven leadership, and focus on what matters most to our state - smart regulation and policy in partnership with Texans and industry leaders. The Texas Railroad Commission is not a place for culture wars and bigotry - it’s the foundation of the Texas economy, and we cannot afford to hand it to the wrong leader. Vote for Jon Rosenthal." - @MayorMattie, Mayor of Fort Worth

Saturday tends to be one of the slowest days in the early voting period, but Day 6 still saw over 220K voters show up to vote in the big 5 urban counties, bringing the cumulative total significantly above 1.6M. They are running at about 90% of 2024 Day 6.

Daily reminder that mail ballots account for nearly half of Florida's early vote and have virtually no shift toward Democrats. There's definitely some Democratic frontloading in IPEV, but Democrats also have a moderate advantage among low-propensity voters (nothing like NC or GA, but still meaningful), some of which will be cancelled out by the 500k extra net registration lead the GOP has added in FL since 2024.
Jolly does seem to have a path here. He'd likely need to beat Donalds among independents by around 25 points, which is a tall order but not impossible in a gubernatorial race. We've seen margins like that before. Much, much harder task for Nixon to do that in a federal race.
