Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with local ambulance directors in Fillmore County to discuss rural emergency medical services and hear more about how they’re leading efforts to further rural healthcare accessibility in our #MN01 communities. I helped introduce the PARA-EMT Act to address EMS staffing shortages by making it easier for experienced veterans to transition from medics to certified paramedics and EMTs. I always appreciate hearing how I can continue to advocate for EMS and rural healthcare in southern Minnesota.

✅ DELIVERED: I’m proud to be a strong supporter of the Working Families Tax Cuts that delivered meaningful tax relief for Minnesota families. No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, expanded the child tax credit, and saving the typical American family an average of $1,700 in taxes.

Ensuring our law enforcement and first responders are equipped with the proper resources is crucial to keeping our #MN01 communities safe. I met with Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge on Tuesday to get an update and tour of the new county jail and law enforcement facility, and discuss how I can continue to support their law enforcement efforts in Congress. Thanks for having me!

It was great to visit OPAL Fuels’ Oronoco facility and see their continued investment into southern Minnesota and renewable natural gas firsthand. As a critical component of the company’s renewable fuel supply chain, this operations hub sits at the heart of their fueling network that’s powering our trucking industry. In Congress, I’ll continue fighting to advance policies that support domestic energy security and increased renewable fuel demand. Great to meet with city officials in Butterfield to get an update on the wastewater treatment facility. This year, I was proud to secure over $1 million in federal funds to help with upgrades to address deteriorating infrastructure, ensuring that the Butterfield community has a reliable wastewater treatment plant for years to come.

I joined the City of Madelia to celebrate one of the most significant utility investments in the community’s history to modernize aging infrastructure across the city. Severe weather, aging equipment, and increasing system demands can create adverse effects on electrical grids, which is why investments to strengthen resilience are so important. For rural communities like Madelia, ensuring a dependable electric grid for years to come is essential for our hardworking families, productive farms, businesses, and manufacturers. Thank you to Madelia Municipal Light and Power, our state and federal partners, and everyone who made this important project possible.

Last week, the Runge family and @MNFarmBureau hosted an agricultural stakeholder listening session with leaders in our ag community and the next generation of farmers to discuss the issues impacting Watonwan, Blue Earth, and Brown Counties. When helping my @HouseAgGOP colleagues write the House-passed Farm Bill, listening sessions like these directly shaped our policies. I hosted @RepPeteStauber in Wabasha this week for a transportation and infrastructure roundtable with area leaders and officials. From EMS services to telehealth to highway and road projects, we received updates on many of the issues affecting our neighbors. Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve worked to deliver meaningful investments in critical infrastructure and transportation, and I always appreciate participating in these discussions to gain insight into how I can support our #MN01 communities.

The Rochester International Airport plays a critical role in connecting patients, healthcare professionals, and visitors to the Mayo Clinic and Rochester area. @RepPeteStauber and I joined Mayor Norton and City Council President Schubring at RST this week to hear more about their recent infrastructure upgrades and the projects connecting #MN01 with the world.

It’s essential that our #MN01 communities along the Mississippi River have the necessary infrastructure to improve flood resilience and address wastewater needs. This week, @RepPeteStauber and I joined city and county leaders, public works representatives, and engineers in Red Wing to discuss needed updates for their wastewater lift station and federal funding available to replace aging infrastructure.
