Lawmakers like @RepFinstad voted for the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 in Washington, but it was shaped by dozens of listening sessions out in the field like this one.
It's time for farmers, ranchers, and rural communities to have their voices heard. It's time to get the farm bill across the finish line.
Last week, the Runge family and @MNFarmBureau hosted an agricultural stakeholder listening session with leaders in our ag community and the next generation of farmers to discuss the issues impacting Watonwan, Blue Earth, and Brown Counties.
When helping my @HouseAgGOP colleagues write the House-passed Farm Bill, listening sessions like these directly shaped our policies. Thank you to everyone who could join us and provide valuable insights into the issues affecting our farmers!

This week I headed out to Pickaway County resident Will Minshall’s farm with @OhioCornWheat and got some hands-on experience in the field!
We discussed issues that local farmers are grappling with, how the harvest is going, the need for year-round E-15, and how important reliable markets are.
As a member of @HouseAgGOP, I will continue speaking up for the needs of Buckeye farmers to ensure they have the support they need to feed Ohio families.

Happy National Farmer’s Day! It’s an honor to be one of the very few active farmers in Congress representing my fellow southern Minnesota producers. As a member of @HouseAgGOP and strong supporter of the Working Families Tax Cuts, which delivered the largest investment in the farm safety net since the 2002 Farm Bill, I’ve delivered commonsense, meaningful legislation that empowers the men and women who feed and fuel the world. I’ll continue working with my colleagues in Washington and listening to farmers in Minnesota’s First District to deliver these wins time and time again.

Happy #NationalFarmersDay! Take a moment to thank a farmer today. 🌾🚜
Happy World Cotton Day! The American cotton industry generates over $120 billion in U.S. economic activity each year. Take a moment today to check the fabric on your clothing and thank a cotton farmer!
The Working Families Tax Cuts included historic funding for American agriculture. See it in action! ⬇️
The Trump Administration has been working around the clock since January 20, 2025, to put American farmers first after inheriting one of the worst farm economies the country has experienced in decades.

Always great seeing my friends at @MinnesotaPork while in Washington, D.C.! Representing one of the top pork-producing districts in Congress, I know firsthand that insights from our pork producers on issues like our ag markets and Prop 12 play a critical role in helping my @HouseAgGOP colleagues craft effective legislation that keeps our pork industry strong. Thanks for meeting with me!

It’s Farm Safety and Health Week! 🚜 How does the farm bill keep producers safe?
The ROPS Act helps make tractor safety upgrades, such as roll bars, more affordable through a cost-share program at USDA, cutting out-of-pocket costs for farmers.

Market access is key to the success of U.S. specialty crops. Thank you @IntFreshProduce for joining us at @HouseAgGOP this week to talk about the importance of programs like MAP and FMD, which have proven to be successful in establishing new markets for American producers.
How can we create more demand for U.S. specialty crops? It takes work at home and abroad.
IFPA’s Alexis Taylor told @RepNewhouse and @HouseAgGOP that we need to get more fruits and vegetables on Americans’ plates while breaking down trade barriers and building overseas markets.

Last summer, @HouseGOP passed tax cuts that will save farmers more than $10 billion. During this week’s @HouseAgGOP hearing, I discussed our ag trade environment with President of the Colorado Farm Bureau Carlyle Currier and heard how the tax provisions in our Working Families Tax Cuts have helped ensure he and his family can pass down their multi-generational farm to the next generation ⬇️

The House passed a Farm Bill 139 days ago. Today, @SenAmyKlobuchar will have another chance to prove she stands with farmers over fraudsters by supporting a Farm Bill passage in the Senate Ag Committee.
Why does increasing demand for US-grown agricultural products matter? Because American farmers and ranchers are so productive that they produce far more than we can consume at home.
This makes it critical to invest in innovative new products, enhance existing markets, and build trade relationships through export promotion programs.
