Optic Gaming's lineup of professional players only managed a 1.27 reaching prestige master. That should tell you everything about how god awful the matchmaking is in MW4

The TTK is way too high for Shipment on MW4. SMGs are useless. ARs take most of a clip for a single kill, even point blank. Well, unless you're using the Hyeon or the Han. I mean it's the least horrible map so far which is pretty horrific in its own right. But they really need to fix the TTK and the weapon balancing because it is way off.

And this shows how important non-multiplayer content is. MW4 has been praised for a generational campaign and a very, very good DMZ extraction mode. Reviewers did not score the game based on public multiplayer matchmaking.

I think part of the problem is that the core multiplayer experience in Call of Duty is no longer enjoyable. Black Ops 6 had a problem with a lack of meaningful content. Black Ops 7 had tons of content. And even the multiplayer was decent for the first half of its life. Activision keeps pointing to "data" not actual real-world feedback. 6v6 shooter on disappointing maps has run its course. MW4 as it currently sits would have been a better game overall if it was *just* campaign and DMZ.

It's sad because it's true. The multiplayer maps in this game are all dreadful. They reward only those who rat. They're not fun, and combined with the sluggish movement MW4 is just not hitting. My left hand is broken from mashing the stick to tac sprint. Because if you don't run tac sprint you're a sitting duck.

While I'm pleased that MW4 is mostly really good (and multiplayer can be sorted out) I'm not really of the opinion that shouting about how much revenue CoD has made is the flex Xbox thinks it is. We all know it's absurdly popular and profitable. But when a lot of the players already feel like their wallet is the only thing that matters, talking about how much money you're making instead of say, how many players etc, feels a little off. Because we're about to start season 1, and the battle pass and microtransactions cycle will begin again. Making money is for the business people to figure out and it starts by making a good game. MW4 is at its core a very good game.

At this point I'm starting to think MW4 multiplayer is some kind of psychology experiment
