I learned how to hide my first level loading transitions! I'm loading during a short elevator ride. #godot

One focus of my latest game project has been optimization. I want a lean game. Here's the archival space I'm working on. There's a small platform and interface the player uses to retrieve data slates from a massive warehouse. #godot

Cheap trick I'm using in this scene with my screens: Every tv program and ad in my game works off a single texture atlas. I can fit about 375 screens in a single 2k texture (only about 132x77px resolution for my game's texel density). average screen pixel color is at the bottom right of that texture (one pixel per screen). This pixel changes the light source in my room, so it appears the tv is giving off light with the appropriate color. But it's SUPER cheap. #godot

I remember being so bummed out when I first learned people can actually “see” things in their mind. I literally did not believe it was a thing and assumed they were making it up. I have never seen anything in my imagination. The concept is so impossible to me.

One of the best teachers for this topic, and all around amazing person! Go check it out if you want to pick up a few gold nuggets for rigging in Blender.
Small reminder, that my new rigging tutorial is out now on my YouTube 😉 And a little preview of me trying to seem professional 😁 🔗 below #b3d #blender3d #rigging #tutorial #3danimation

I wish I could say I'm a self made businessman with great success, but my own site has never turned a profit 😁 I've always got by with freelance, but I've built a niche in YouTube 3D, and a lot of my clients are struggling with profitability at the moment so there's less work. I'm really in need of some good connections. I think I'm skilled? You're free to disagree 😅. Feedback is nice. Anyway here's my portfolio and let's see if anything comes from it. rileyb3d.com/portfolio

Every model, texture, HDRI from my site lives within the remote Blender asset library. You just type in your unique code into your Blender settings when you get the site pass, and you're good to drag and drop.

Some cinematic HDRIs (up to 8k) now on my site. Like everything, I kind of just have these because I need them! But if you find use out of them, all the better.

She played more video games than I could keep up with and this will probably be the first social post of mine she doesn’t heart. Miss you, grandma.
